jz Fish I'm not saying you shouldn't have a dog if you can't walk him once or twice a year because of whatever emergency. Just that if you rely on another person to walk your dog regularly, which most people do who use these apps, you shouldn't own a dog because you don't have time for it.

For something like that, you'd have to go back about 400million years where there was no life, what so ever on the ground (in the sea, yes).
@Friedrich-Wilhelm-19808 жыл бұрын
yes our lungs could metabolise the ancient air but you might get sick for a while do to oxygen toxicity as the O2 in the air was 40% higher i would be like living on mount everest's peak your whole life then moving to iowa you would struggle to breath in the air because it would be thicker and heavier and probably feel like water but i would not be too concerned about the air i would be more concerned about the giant 5 ton tigers and 10 ton bears and direwolves and ginat rats
@TheMeadmonger8 жыл бұрын
oxygen toxicity is not a thing, not even remotely. If anything your body would be awesome until it adjusted down and you would have a huge advantage against other animals in the area.
@Friedrich-Wilhelm-19808 жыл бұрын
TheMeadmonger oxygen toxicity is a real thing it caused nerve damage and causes cellular degradation long term your lungs will be severely damaged and can make you blind oxygen toxicity can also have the same effects on the mind as alcohol high o2 is beneficial to people who have oxygen absorption problems and it's helpful to athletes who who over exert their bodies and uses up blood ready o2

Predators could be avoided, though; considering we'd be able to craft weapons, and would technically be more physically adapted. You can't dodge natural disasters.
@ShadowTheWolf158 жыл бұрын
Humans have the capability to fight back against predators, which we have done for centuries to survive. We could even just pick up a stick and a rock and stay in a pack to defend our selfs. But the fact we don't have much to defend us from the cold now and there is new diseases we are up against that we have no cure for would probably actually be more dangerous.

If you went back 2.5 million years ago and only allowed to take 1 of the following which would it be. 1 Piece of Food 5 Water Bottles 1 Tent 1 Phone If you chose a piece of food you would finish it the second you looked at it If you chose 5 water bottles you would drink most of it and try to save some for later but soon enough you will finish them (about a week or so) If you chose the tent I applaud you nice thinking If you chose the phone... You would die in a day why? Because 1- if you need a phone that means you don't do much labor and chores aren't labor which means if you didn't have all your fancy stuff you wouldn't be able to catch a fish to eat or kill an animal hence starvation 2- no wifi in the past maybe you could play games on it but how far would that really get you and 3- someone or something sees you with that you ruined the fabric of time and all that 4- A phone is not a weapon and lastly 5- A phone 2.5 million would die cause you stared at its screen to long hoping to find civilization but all you find is a tiger look straight into your face...

Provided you make it through the first few weeks yeah, probably. You have the advantage of being the smartest thing on the planet. But it would be fairly lonely and boring as there would be no other anatomically modern humans around.
@khulmach96628 жыл бұрын
Most likely the animals would kill any modern, non-hunter/ outdoors person within a few hours. Perhaps days if lucky.
@aleksandersuur94758 жыл бұрын
Hours and days? Be serious, fauna was mostly modern by that time. Would you die in matter of hours and days in wild today? Even a common sheep separated from herd has longer life expectancy than that. Same bunch of wolves, bears, alligators and whatnot lived then and live now, but going to the wild is hardly a death sentence. You could run into bad luck, that is certainly a possibility, but getting eaten is not the most likely thing to happen. If it does end badly then its probably because you failed to find shelter, or got sick or ate something you really should not have but its quite likely that you will survive.

Not being immune to diseases back then will cause death pretty quickly, which is why a time traveler will die if they went into the future and most likely if they traveled back

I don't understand why an environment 5-10 degrees Celsius cooler makes your chances of survival so slim?? Can someone explain this to me? I don't die during the winter...
@ISmellAPennyProductions7 жыл бұрын
Funktastik *GLOBAL TEMPERATURE IS DROPPING* Basically meaning the earth is frozen, and is causing GLOBAL winters/blizzards, modern winter is caused by the temperature of the current hemisphere, your longitude and lattitude, and the season of the area, for instance the US snows, while hawaii does not.
@333dae7 жыл бұрын
a long time ago world temperature dropped by 2 degrees, crops died, lots of them, small numbers can change big things.
@caribreeze8 жыл бұрын
hmm, regarding the disease part of the video wouldn't you be largely immune to most diseases 2.5 million years ago (aside from ones we haven't encountered yet)? i thought as our immune systems evolved to counter diseases that diseases also evolved to counter our immune system (that's why they still exist), so if we went back in time our immune system would be able to protect us from diseases that would usually make us sick or kill us.
@theninja41372 жыл бұрын
Diseases usually evolve to become more contagious but less deadly over time. A virus has no incentive to evolve to kill people "on the spot": a person that feels mostly healthy and goes about their daily life is more likely to encounter people, and people will be more likely to get into close contact with them, spreading the virus more easily. Many of the deadliest diseases (such as ebola) crossed over from animals more recently, or primarily target an animal and only "accidentally" infect humans
