I've been doing lots of thinking recently, and I've finally figured out why this scared me SO fucking badly as a kid. Turns out, my family went through a VERY horrifying tragedy in 1987, when I was 5 years old and right after it happened, every time I heard this jingle, it always reminded me of death/dying. I always viewed it as "death music." It's probably a fear I'll NEVER outgrow. As for the Columbia Sunburst jingle, THAT one always frightened me, for reasons unknown.

the Columbia Pictures Television logo (with CPE byline) is from 1989-1991, 1992 and it's also on original airings including NBC, ABC, CBS, and FOX.

The Embassy logo was replaced by CPT after 1987, although it was still credit as Embassy and ELP Communications on the Closing credits on the shows produced by Embassy.

This version ended in 1991. not 1992. It became bylineless in 1991.

Waaait, why 2008? It's impossible. Besides, people would say that SPE is behind in that logo and people would be annoyed to see that day after day. Just like saying that some hate the 1996 logos of CTT and they call it "The Boxes of Boredom" and I hate that nickname!
