I wasn’t born when Electric Company was on but back in 1996-97 when I was in 2nd Grade the teacher used to make us watch EC every Friday before a Spelling Test. For whatever reason i don’t know, but I loved watching it. I thought I it was amazing and made me want to work in TV. Thank you Mrs. Cedrone for introducing me to this show.

I have The Electric Company on DVD at home, both The Best of the Best of The Electric Company, The Best of The Electric Company, and The Best of The Electric Company: Volume 2. I didn’t grow up in the 70s, but my mother got the DVDs for me when I was six or seven years old, and I fell in love with them. Every once in a while, I’ll take them out and watch them on my laptop. My favorite catchphrase is “HEY YOU GUYS!!!!” That was a great show and me and my mother would watch it a lot when I first got the DVDs. It helped me improve my reading and phonics skills, I got better with learning my punctuation with the song “Punctuation”, and so much more. I never had trouble with reading, but I needed a bit of a boost of energy, besides a reading log where I was required to read a book for 20 minutes.

These credits are actually from season three. When the show went into syndication that same year, the season three credits were used for seasons one and two.

kzbin.info/www/bejne/i5m9ZoNop7p1rcksi=nr_eaqqfEJ67Sh1E Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 15:3-7 “For I passed on to you as most important what I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the Twelve. Then he appeared to over five hundred brothers and sisters at one time; most of them are still alive, but some have fallen asleep. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles.” 1 Peter 2:24 “He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree; so that, having died to sins, we might live for righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.” John 3:16-17 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” Acts 2:38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

I first saw this on Nickelodeon, then on CBS (during a brief time on Saturday Mornings in the 1991-92 season, with it airing on Nick during the same time), The Family Channel (FAM TV), syndicated TV, Fox Family/ABC Family, and Starz Encore Family.

I still have the original VHS copy of TOKYO POP (1988) which was released by WB Home Video and it’s still in great condition! I wish I had the 1987 VHS copy of BULLITT (1968) which was my childhood introduction to this 1986 WB logo and the VHS copy was HiFi stero equipped! Great childhood memories from the 1980s!🇺🇸😁📼 ☝️😊By the way, when Warner Brothers was releasing BULLITT (1968) on VHS and Laserdisc in 1987, the Warner Brothers Studio was releasing Whoopi Goldberg’s BURGLAR (1987) into movie theaters. BURGLAR (1987) was filmed in San Francisco and this movie was a similar action/crime movie but with a comedy twist to it! Interestingly, actress Whoopi Goldberg was on the scene at the 1199 VJ Grocery shop between Clay Street and Taylor Street where Steve McQueen’s BULLITT house is facing the VJ Grocery shop. Both Steve McQueen and Whoopi Goldberg waving at each other!👋🏻👋🏿
