Cam Danny Ric did a Q and A in the Perelli suite at COTA last that my husband and I attended, he was fabulous, and a gentleman.. Looking purely (objectively) within the context of greatness when speaking about both LH and MV, MV remains far behind. MV has some distinctions yes, however, looking purely at the figures and what each has produced therein, LH is the GOAT. I hope that MV will have a long and prosperous career with F1, and if he is blessed with a similar longevity, shouldn't we compare both once MV has had a similar time in F1 to LH. I offer, would not this place this apples and oranges argument in a more resounding light. How can anyone argue if over a similar time MV surpasses LH in terms of the achievements. Why keep doing this dance?. Would we do the same for say footie and goals scored by a collection of strikers during their careers. Looking objectively, it remains clear as overall, the most is currently held by LH. Regarding 2021, what no one can argue is that the rules regarding safety car procedures were not followed to enable all drivers in the field who were why the rule was written, to re-engage within the race. Mr Massi in committing such an aberration had clearly tainted 2021. Finally, i offer this for consideration, stats for team mates race start positions, are used mainly to underscore performance. G Russell currently 'out scores' L Hamilton, however i offer, if LH who is currently above G Russell, why does it remain a point of much discussion, in the other teams, does it have far more relevance ? M V and Perez is in my view a very clear example of this, one team mate out performing and delivering on the day to outscore his team mate. Why is it not mentioned when the evidence is there that despite our King G 'out performing' LH regarding race starts, LH still has the driver standing over his teammate. ?

I find it ironic that DC and a host of other fanboys of MV goes on about MV is better than LH because he had no competition but yet failed to mention that LH at one time during his career had 3 teammates that had won a WDC and how’d that go ? Then they started spewing that MV would destroy LH in the same car , Well Lewis called their bluff when he emphatically told all who were in attendance that If he had “Checo’s car ..yes that RB19 that Max wouldn’t be dominating and having the time he was having in front of the field and when the report came out the he was approached by RB Lewis told them flat out Give me the same car that Max has ..after LH told them that all you heard was Crickets !!!. 🦗 🦗🦗🦗. Lets put it this way, 2021 Max lost but due to MM he won, 2022 9 teams had SH1T cars because of ground effect rules and 2023 9 teams with not so good cars and Max still had no Competition, 2024 RB caught cheating again Max hasn´t won in 7 races might lose the championship and that puts him on Par with LH what a weird world we live in.

Baku blowout and his magic button error wrote his history. Silverstone crash wrote his history. His teammate going bowling in Hungary wrote his history. "Spicy engines" and blatantly taking penalties to tune engines to the moon.It's so easy to focus on MM and ignore everything that benefited LH. Max won the most races that season. Led more laps than all other drivers COMBINED. He was the superior driver that year.

If you know F1,you know success requires a great car , great driver and a certain amount of “luck”. Lewis is without doubt THE GOAT of F1 by the only unit of measure we have ,success and records. BUT things change and drivers age , Max is clearly a massive step ahead of anyone on the grid. If you think otherwise you’re either romanticising or you’re a fool. @Pete201 In 2021 the RB PU was on the same power level as the Mercedes PU and even overall the car was better.. The W12 was a good car but it wasn’t great in the slow corners were that was the RB17 strength and it had phenomenal straight away speed.. The W12 also had tremendous straight away speed also but nothing like the W11 that also had insane grip.

And even if the engines were near equal, Mercedes were taking a new engine every race for the last few races to tune the engine to blow after 1 race. Look at Brazil for example, that engine was in a different class to the rest of the field.

Coulthard is like a broken record. Everybody knows where his allegiance is to. I’ve never seen in a sport where the best athlete is not celebrated. As if everything is done to keep Schumi legacy intact by all means possible. You had Todt comfortably saying that he could have stepped in to right 2021 wrong but he didn’t want to do it with what it means to Schumi legacy and his emotional attachment to it. You had Ecclestone saying that Schumi will always be the best driver despite Hamilton achievement and illustrious career. Coulthard cannot pick Schumi for obvious reasons so his pick is by default. The problem is Hamilton is shattering F1 stats without the help of no one. No race director favours him, no Team favours him to the point of having to change drivers just to keep him happy. Hamilton has already cemented his legacy as the best F1 driver the sport has ever seen. And in a pale skin dominated sport, it’s best and most successful athlete of all time is a shade darker than what the rest is used to. And that kills them inside.
