South Africa have 2 DTM drivers and 1 MotoGP drivers currently. We deserve a F1 race as done in the past.

I would love to see Kyalami back on the calendar, but the local market is not likely to be able to support the venue’s costs associated with hosting a Grand Prix weekend. That is why Sepang was dropped after 2017. Great circuit, but not a strong enough local economy to not have to rely on traveling fans for ticket sales each year. Similarly, South Africa has been having political, infrastructural, and security problems that would make it unwise to host a Grand Prix. There are other races on the calendar now that I think are also similarly in bad taste.

2 DTM drivers doesn't mean SA should host a F1 GP, it doesn't have the infrastructure to minimize the costs, therefore, the government has to pay for it , private investment won't pay for it because they aren't like the legacy venues because they host national and international motor sports races.

Would be great to see a race in Africa. Especially Rwanda, given its past. It would signal a big turnaround for them. However, I can’t see it happening regularly. The culture in sub-Saharan Africa is so tilted towards short-term gain that the requisite institutional structures wouldn’t be created to accommodate a yearly place on the calendar. Hope I’m wrong.

Not to spoil the secret, bit Rwanda has an extreme amount of money that their keeping "in-house" which is why I think they're a serious contender. Red Bull did their Show Run in Joburg this passed weekend; Coulthard drove around Kyalami in the RB7 and said the track is great,. The event was successful and even got RB to endorsed bringing back Kyalami GP. If it's not just Hamilton, but an entire championship team, I think they're cooking.

Yes I cannot wait for Oscar to put the beats on Lando next year, he will be crying in his seat. If they do 30 races they need to circumnavigate the globe in a round about way and not jump all over the planet. But yes its a shame to have a global sport and leave out a whole continent (the biggest one), F1 in Africa would be major nowadays Nigeria has a race track.

Who is going to pay for racing in Africa? Maybe Hamilton can start the ball rolling with a hefty donation as he is leading the push. Ten Kms from Kyalami is one of the most poor areas in South Africa where some people struggle to buy a loaf of bread.

Forget F1 in Africa- before those go off on me - I'm of African decent - Full stop they n just can't afford it- the Olympics hit them hard financially - it's fine for the wealthy 90% of the pop are struggling. There is no financial benefit for the country, let's be real Turkey, India and a few more didn't break even.
