Looks like the mayors and councilors of many cities don't have their priorities right. To start enacting bylaws that limit what people can do on their own properties after 6PM when most people work til 5PM then have to fight traffic until almost 6PM. Then there is a bylaw that says you have to have a manicured lawn and they will charge you for not cutting your lawn. But they don't give you the time to cut your lawn. To replace all my gas equipment to electric It would cost over $50,000. Not to mention that they don’t have the same power as gas to clean t through heavy brush. This is how these people operate. They will ignore individual words that give greater context to what has been said and will focus solely on one or two words or phrases that they deem "labels". They also understand the "slippery slope argument", which they incorrectly refer to as a fallacy. The second Point of Privilege shows this beautifully as it was already covered as the chair pointed out, although the chair was allowing his bias to dictate his choice of words rather than doing what he could to remain neutral. Look at the response 980 CFPL put out at 9:10, they ignored the use of the word temptation and the greater context of what was said as well.

Is London a sustainable city? 2500 cities in the world have signed the UN Agenda 2030 with the key word sustainability and Canada has 500 of them. They are about reducing our consumption with no care of the hardship that is caused. In my small city, mayor and councilors signed the UN Agenda 2030 and then redacted their names so we don't know who they are. If this was a good thing why would they need to do that? We are about to get a 25% YEARLY increase in our water bill. Calgary is going through the same where the mayor has let a water main stay broken to teach her constituents to use less water. Toronto is trying to ban gas lawn mowers. I live in a town that has a huge senior population and very high property taxes. Senior poverty is real due to decisions like these and seniors already rummage through the dumpster at Zehrs. My garbage is put in clear bags and the idea is to force people to recycle properly, but we have done that for a very long time so is the reason to get us to accept surveillance? Now that we have our Prime Minister complaining about seniors living in their homes and taking up space we need to pay close attention. Rent costs more than the entire Canada and Old Age pension. Sorry for the rant!
