If you're interested, I've done pretty much all of those you've listed albeit not to the standard that Jay has shown. To be honest they each only have subtle differences, which is the studio lighting. Obviously there were three principle variants with the red, blue and orange colour schemes but any differences you see within them is primarily just changes in the lighting set up.

@@AdamBeachDesign it feels fantastic. Fingers crossed for Jay that he could upload the COUNTDOWN clock wings set (1991-2002) in its C4D effect!

@@JayLS I'm going by your attention to detail when I say this, but if you're who I think you are then I believe we go back a while, and I still send my apologies for what I did. I was an obnoxious 11-year-old at the time but have well and truly grown out of that now.

@@AdamBeachDesign You are right of course. Don't worry about it. I've done my share of growing up too.

@@JayLS well that makes two of us. Anyway, your work is really good. I could see it in use on apps and online games. You should give the current set a go! Do you make these in CINEMA 4D still, and how difficult is it to learn?

@@AdamBeachDesign Thanks. Yours too! I haven't made one in a while, mostly thanks to work. This model was made in 2016; I just updated the clock after a comment mentioned it going backwards. I found the basics of C4D relatively easy to grasp, and I'm no natural when it comes to 3D. A lot of people prefer Blender now it seems (I've not tried it). The Countdown Clock is probably a good starter task if you're up for learning.

I would love to see a 0-60 Countdown clock just to see the clock doing a full minute.

Hi Jay - I have a quick question if you don’t mind answering: Was this actually real at some point? Because somebody called "Gay J", who you credited in the description, said it was, only for a few days though. Thanks :)

Hi. I believe it was. Gary J's comments reminded me of something Carol said, many years ago, about the clock going backwards. I thought she was talking about it malfunctioning or something, but his comments make me think it was actually changed to work that way, albeit briefly. He also claimed it was around the time of this set, hence the video and credit. :) If it did happen, it'd be cool to see!

@@JayLS Ah, thanks for replying. I was just wondering because I remember seeing one of the pastel variations going from 30 to 0 for 30 seconds. I think it was at the end of a Grand Finale but I can’t find the video of it anywhere. Anyway - I’m starting to ramble on now, thanks for your reply. :)

@@caydrew8699 You're welcome. Interesting! Maybe it happened a couple of times.
@caydrew86993 жыл бұрын
@@JayLS Yeah, probably did happen a couple as times, most likely a malfunction. I’ll try and look for some videos (if they are any up) showing the clock go from 30 to 0 in 30 seconds. :)

@@caydrew8699 Yes, it happened in the 1980's, very late on - albeit for one studio session, I think. I have no idea why it happened, or who came up with the idea, but for a few shows, the clock 'Countdown' was from 30 - fully lit, and each second, the light went out. I used to record every show and watch them later in the 1980s and sadly very few are remaining in on my videos - albeit some - but none of the 'backwards' episodes do I have.

Did you take a clip of the old studio and reverse it!? Thats so good!
@JayLS3 жыл бұрын
No, it's a 3D model I made, just with the clock animation changed.

Oh ok because it literally looks like the 1989 - 1991 studio. Keep up the good work!

The clock actually went backwards (30-0) for real for a few days in the late 1980s.
