Just to say thanks for all these videos and the format of them in this run up to the release of “The Spectrum”. It really has been the only thing getting me ramped up with renewed interest, vigour, and sheer excitement in the lead up to the release of The Spectrum. I’m hopefully getting my pre-order tomorrow from Smyths Toys too, and I probably would have forgotten about my pre-order with life getting in the way and it gone to someone else after 2 days of me no showing at the store if it wasn’t for these great videos keeping me entertained and excited! So thank you on all counts for that, much appreciated! 😃 Also, just to say keep up the great videos (I’ve gone back and looked and past videos too now which I’ve really enjoyed). I do remember Horace Goes Skiing from when I had my Spectrum (got my first computer of a Spectrum +2 in around 1987 when I was around 12 years old!) and it was a fun little game which I enjoyed, but yeah maybe not that much depth though for the time was clearly a more points/score based arcade type game which did the job very nicely. I’ve actually only ever played 6 of the 21 games shown in this countdown list so far, so I’m really looking forward to playing lots of these classics (and non-classics!) that I never owned, as well as replaying the classics of those that I did own of course! 😄

I've literally had no communication from them since I placed the pre-order and my order itself still says 'processing'. I'm getting worried I won't get mine tomorrow! Any help would be appreciated. No I haven’t received anything from Smyths Toys nor any money taken out either so I’m hoping it is all done when collecting The Spectrum from the store. I don’t believe I’ve ever done a pre-order from Smyths before so not sure what the usual procedure is, so was just assuming they take it off your card when you pick it up, so am hoping for a text, email, or something at sometime tomorrow with a reference to come and pick it up, fingers, legs, and toes crossed! 🤞

I’ve seen a few online reviews and all sounding really positive so really looking forward to receiving mine tomorrow 🤞 Hope everyone else gets theirs. Apparently there’s slight loading issues with any Ultimate games but there is a workaround 👍

I dont remember playing this game but i do remember it. It must have came with the spectrum i got for christmas in 85, maybe played once or twice. I just looked it up, Crash came out in feb 84. It was supposed to be out the previous november but they had issues with WH Smiths.

I'll be interested to try this. I remember the Horace games on the shelf, but never bought one. Meanwhile, i did have Horace goes Skiing, but not for my Spectrum.. i had it for my Psion Series 3, a fair few years later 😂
