This is an extremely helpful explanation. I've been looking for how to count things and finding out that no two counting phrases were alike. It all makes sense now!

Seemed weird at first but then I started thinking of ways we do this in English. We do! Like 1 slice or 1 piece. Heck, even 1 dollop or a swallow. lol. Not as weird as I first thought. Arigato gozaimasu.

Best way to memorize. Tho just wondering if the song tune were original, it's kind of catchy so it makes memorization wasier. Just one thing, the changes on numbering weren't explained, I don't know tho if there's a separate lesson for that, cause numbers with counters above then weren't present. But still, it's highly recommend ❤️❤️ ありがとう

This is great thank you! I have a question though, whats the difference between tsu counter and ko counter? 🤔 My teacher said tsu is for round objects so I guess if a round object is small you could use either?

大いに参考になりました。許容の範囲ですが「十匹」と「十本」は正しくは「じっぴき」「じっぽん」です。あとに破裂音”p”がくる場合の変則です。6や8と同じ変則です。

I got a bit confused. At first, the cake is under the 個 but then it was used in the つ counter. Does it mean cakes can be both for 個 and つ? And the way some are pronounced like 6匹 and 8匹 sounds like ろっぴき and はっぴき but the on the screen, they are just written us ろーぴき and はーぴき。I am confused.
