The fact that you have to peek quickly like you explained makes it so that counterstrafing is essential to playing the game, because you have to peak and quickly shoot at whoever is holding that angle. Without counterstrafing anyone holding an angle you peak with just kill you.

2:15 There’s actually a good rule of thumb you can remember to optimise the player models; if you’re peaking an angle to your LEFT, peek it from as far back as possible, and if you’re peeking an angle to your RIGHT, then peek it from as close to the wall as you can. This optimises your character movement speed for the other players, and gives you more room for error.
@LB0 Жыл бұрын
Not really. Right hand is better than left hand but it only really matters if you're the same distance from the angle. Being farther from the angle will let you see someone closer regardless. If you want to wide someone quickly, you move faster on the opponents screen if you start closer to the wall.

A good tip for new players is to play the dynamic crosshair when starting out, so you can practice your accuracy and once you feel comfortable with your gameplay mechanics, that’s when you switch to a crosshair that you like. I remember I played dynamic on an alt and it actually made me better despite playing with a static crosshair And this isn’t even something for new players, I think even intermediate or advanced players can use it as a challenge so they know what types of peeks they need to improve on or what techniques they need to improve their timing on and so on

@lennartstein3024 Жыл бұрын
u mean i should peek corners in a wider angle? Not hugging the wall im about to peek?
@balalaika4623 Жыл бұрын
Holding angles in CS2 online is difficult, because of the sub-tick system you'll often see your opponent before he sees you just because the server hasn't updated in time. If you're a CT it's better to constantly peek a corner then just stand there and aim at it because of this advantage@@lennartstein3024

CS 1.3 player here. Funny how much has changed but mostly how much hasn't. Counter strafing is still necessary, the AK is still the best, learning where to nade/flash/smoke on every map is critical. The only annoying thing is they removed left handed player models for 2.0. As a left handed player who gets 0 love from any other game, CS has ALWAYS supported it until this release. Can't play it. 20+ years of muscle memory as left handed models won't let me.

Kinda weird seeing you post a tips n tricks video XD I clicked on here just for maybe some new info and got weirded out hearing your sound. Great vid tho, the audio one is kinda new to me cuz I got no problem with it till u point it out. I'm going for 16-38, as the 50-60 is a bit harsh on the front/back area, like I can't accurately pinpoint if someone is a bit left from my backline or is a bit more left than I anticipated because the audio from my test is that 50 is still more sensitive to me at medium - long distances (im talking about m4 distances, or max pistol round distances).

I never could get into CS back in the day, never had good enough internet. Now that I have fiber for the time being I am interested in maybe picking it up again but honestly, with my hearing loss I feel like I would be at an even bigger disadvantage! Nowadays I am just stuck playing Apex and Hunt because I've been playing them since launch and it's all almost muscle memory, at least in a fight. Hunt is definitely against me though considering that game relies so heavily upon good hearing.

The biggest tip is to quit until they fix the netcode so you won't be constantly wondering whether you got killed unfairly or got robbed by the server. Seriously. It's not worth playing CS2 right now unless you're already a die hard CS fan. Especially if you didn't pay 15 dollars to access premier, the only mode worth playing if you want to enjoy a genuine CS experience.
