The G3 sound was the same up to CS:GO. Source's is different but it's more of an "enhanced" version with less static

TheOmegaKiller CS Beta 1.0 is really cool. 4 maps that don’t get old, 9 guns that serve a different purpose each, a tactical grenade, and unrestricted bunnyhopping. The USP is a normal pistol, Glock has burst fire, AWP is a bolt sniper, MP5 is a run and gun SMG, the TMP is a weak but stealthy SMG, M4A4 is a rifle equipped with a scope for long ranges, M249 is a machine gun that, unrestricted jumping, the G3 is an auto sniper that takes more shots, the Pump Shotgun is a shotgun, and Flashbangs allow you to clear out areas.

Global Offensive is better than Source.

Davicolt Global Offensive contains many unique gameplay elements in 1.6 which were removed from Source. Hence, GO differs from Source because it mainly supports competitive plays, unlike Source, which is more like into "fun" gameplay.

I just think Source is the worst of them because many things are removed and you just have a classic assault. That isn't fun. I tell Beta version is better because weapons are better and there are more maps, game modes and other cool things. Removing things from the was a bad idea. I don't know why they removed but they shouldn't.

I still think 1.6 is better than Source and BETA is beter than 1.6. CSSource is not fun to play for me because its just classic battle. Nothing left in the game, many things are removed. The game is like playing Half Life Team Deathmatch mode with getting weapons from the start and respawning after one round.
