What should I do when the demon hunter jumps on me and prevents me from playing the game with their disgusting amount of CC. I try to fear, he is instantly out of it coz my teammate damaged him. I try to root him, it gets dispelled. I try to stun him he trinkets. I try to run, I get slowed, I use fade to remove slow but I get instantly slowed again. What’s the counter play?

As a main arms warrior, I can say DHs are nothing. Only casters cry about DHs being op 😂 just learn how to kite them omg.. I m not saying they don t have big ass burst on their go, but they die insanely quick too...

Kiting a DH can be done but to the majority of the playerbase is nearly impossible, the class is basically the anti kite melee specialist.

The problem with DH is their damage is passive, requiring no decision-making. They have the least amount of active buttons. The design is lazy and not well thought out. Harsh but is what it is, call it like i see it.

just a suggestion, you may want to watch the video before commenting next time. they literally review about a dozen abilities, including 4 cc abilities. they said dh has to build the Inertia buff by casting fel rush and retreat, as well as immolation aura along with elysian decree and some other spells i don’t remember from the vid. for a burst window that lasts all of 4 sec, iirc. everyone seems to think it’s a 3-button class (even tho they have 4 ccs alone lol) but this video shines light on it does take some skills to win as dh after all.

@@ssranon I don't usually bite because it's a waste of my time arguing/talking with someone I'll never meet & reasoning on youtube is meaningless but I did watch the video. I'm a yearly subscriber on skillcapped, I watch all their content, and play or have played all class/specs to around 2k with healer at higher rating than that. I have 18 vicious saddles already in this season. I'll stop there with my resume. If you use details, you know that this addon itemizes the damage breakdown. If you play DH, and review their damage breakdown, then track it back to the source ability you'll notice their damage is passive. "managing" a buff means jack diddly squat when most players can't or won't even create their own weakaura to track it when it's active. most classes/spec have 40 actives & DH has barely 9. those 9 require no decision making & no thought process behind it. blizzard has created their own problem & refuse to spend the money they don't have to nip it in the bud so it's an overgrown mess right now. that mess is called wow PvP. it's hard, unforgiving, and extremely overwhelming for new players which is why it's basically dead. most of the glads/r1s boost on the side without telling anyone (RMT or gold and in most cases; both) in an effort to monetize their skillset with the current iteration of wow. because...why not? if you're playing and can make money, who cares? blizzard won't stop boosting & why would they? you think they have a stance on RMT? wrong. you can buy gold/accounts/items on several reputable websites & get it in 90 seconds tops once payment goes through. it's an enormous battleship that constantly moves. if you remove every booster (pvp or pve) from the game, you will gut the game permanently & likely give it an execution sentence so the show must go on. the current state of wow pvp is micro cc the healer, do the most damage you can in your burst window (sequencing the go if you can), and win the game but that's not "good" for the game. pvp has never had a rehaul in 19 years. we've had the same BGs for years & get one poorly thought out weekly quest every 4 weeks (win 4 BG matches get 5 marks of honor & 175 conquest, whoopdy fn do) & the world pvp bloody token gear is overpriced & quickly tapers off as conquest acquisition increases. for instance, anyone who plays tarkov knows that the early wipe fights are some of the best, most intense experiences you can have because everyone is rocking trash ammo/armor & you just live longer. ever seen a BG where you just don't die? your healer has 50 million healing done & you win the BG? those are epic moments & the healer is working hard to do it. here's a quick breakdown: fel rush - mobility, doesn't count chaos strike - generator (if you use it) blade dance - spender, 9s cd the hunt - doesn't count, damage cd eye beam - doesn't count, damage cd metamorphosis - doesn't count, damage cd immolation aura - doesn't count, fire & forget vengeful retreat - doesn't count, rotational ability throw glaive - doesn't count, snare identical to every other melee class, rotational for 4 piece there's 9 buttons you eventually have to hit but you don't spam. DH damage is pure passive which is generated from an active button that produce a DoT effect on the enemy in contrast to an active button that produces an allotment of damage e.g., mortal strike for 195,000. no DH player actively makes decisions on what they do. if you can make a fear sigil focus macro, imprison focus macro, fel eruption focus macro, set a focus keybind, and focus frame the healer when the gates open, you will easily get rival set & much higher. DH do suffer at higher rating because better players track abilities & generally have more awareness so you rotate abilities/swap targets pretty frequently especially if the DH is with a resto druid which they typically are right now. don't believe me? watch the void GG tourneys. mw monk/rdruid have been & always will be king until you give other healers a kick/stun/displacement so all healers are on the same page. DH simply win an arena match by attrition through high output & multiple micro CC which is pure annoying in nature causing disruption on the enemy healer. so per arena match, DH have 17 buttons to manage, 18 if you include kick which doesn't even matter because the passive damage is pressure enough. in comparison, priest have well over 40 buttons to manage, and require much more decision making on when to do what, how to do it, and what to do after....for instance, planning a shadow school kick so you ultimate penance or get a shadow infused penance to top your DPS teammate or fake a kick into precog so you can big penance/ultimate penance. the nucleus of the problem with WoW PvP is the population which is another precursor for high shuffle queues. people queue shuffle to learn but ranked should never be a place to learn. ranked is meant to demonstrate your skills & achieve the prestige rewards. if you remove rival set from 1800, duelist illusion from 2100, elite title from 2400 & glad mount from 50 wins in 3s above 2400 you now have a remastered pvp setting flush with prestige people feel like they can earn. wow pvp would bolster & become fresh again because it's no longer a constant reminder of "You're not good enough, kid". the prestige should be participation ONLY. blizzard has to adapt. creating new expansions & just making another gladiator mount isn't good enough. people will just buy the mount or boost a character to get it. put the elite set, illusion, titles, gladiator mount with a certain amount of wins & I can promise you people will grind it. you want the gladiator mount? you need 1,200 wins in the pvp season to get it. 1,200 not enough? 2,000 wins in ANY CUMULATIVE ranked playlist. not enough? put it to 5,000 pvp wins. a match is generally 3 minutes so 15,000 minutes if 250 hours. 250 hours is light work for most of the power gamers to get a mount they've never had before. you would see every playlist explode with players. everyone can win, but people work all season feeling like they aren't good enough to get 1800. I've submitted formal feedback to blizzard & they actually implemented some of that feedback which has bolstered the class/spec into what it is now & I take full credit for that even though nobody will ever know me or that I submitted it until now. when DF launched they removed shadow mend from discipline priest which completely bricked the class/spec. you got kicked on holy you instantly lost the match. I won't tell you what I submitted but it's exactly what they implemented. shadow covenant was created & pushed to the build. precognition was brought in as an embellishment. phase shift was created & pushed to the build. voila, disc priest feels good again. sidenote: (ultimate penance was a godsend, amazing work there blizz, great work all around, a truly great cooldown sorely needed for all disc priests) warriors struggled to connect all throughout DF & when they did connect, it was like a wet noodle. bajheera had some good suggestions & now arms feels great if you can connect but war still pales in comparison to the other melee. arena skirmish should be deprecated & solo shuffle should be unranked arena skirmish which keeps it 6 rounds which ends on a kill so people can learn to play under pressure. solo shuffle current iteration should be 10 rounds but you have to kill all 3 enemy players & keep dampening ramp the way it is. the rating valuation should be by participation (healing or damage) & not just if you win the round. the more damage or healing you do, the more rating you gain or lose. it would likely cause people to try harder because the game doesn't make you feel bad for playing. lastly, allow mods/addons as it is now but build all the necessary arena/PVP addons into the game. omni bar, omni cd, weakaura, diminish, gladius, gladiusex, sarena should not be standalone as you are REQUIRED to have them to be competitive (unless you're a DH right now). blizzard should take ownership of what's required to be successful in their own game mode. you use an engineer to build a bridge; not a pedestrian who uses bridges to get to work. as a 19 year wow vet, we are getting older. we are the ones who paved the way and made wow successful & want it to continue being successful but the fact is; wow pvp is pretty dead with most of the high ranks on alts. 99% of people watching skill capped videos will never get a rank 1 title or a gladiator mount so really, the current iteration of arena caters to the 1% of elitist players. I'll end it here - hope you actually read this as I did spend a good amount of time on this. They have big damage, but this damage is blind and not on point, it's like 70 proc. Of their damage is pure water on other cup we have burst windows that are possible to predict, so my key is this: have understanding about damage windows, more kiting and not spelling all your controlling abilities, keep em unpredictable and you'll get em. Seems deadly, but eyes are scared while hands are working.
