Great idea! I'm glad you used the egg, when I first saw you putting the stuffing in without it, I just shook my head. Also, we have always added cooked ground sausage to our stuffing, it may make for a more savory breakfast donut with the stuffing and egg; throw in shredded turkey for a lunch donut.

For a little added interest add some dried cranberries to the water when making the stuffing.
@ulexite-tv8 күн бұрын
Yes -- we always add dried cranberries to our stovetop stuffing -- and if we have no poultry, we stir in Italian tuna fish in oil (using the tuna oil for some of the butter) and walnuts and steamed broccoli bits! It's a meal! I LOVE the idea of this donut -- so clever.

You know I had to rewind the video because at first I thought I was seeing things but it actually did what a lot of cakes do when you open them too soon after they're done you know you supposed to let them cool a bit before pulling them out of the oven or they might fall that actually did do that. It literally kind of collapsed a bit.

I slit the box down the middle then across each end, including the package inside the box. So it basically makes a bowl. Dump water, butter etc into the box and mix with a fork. No need for a bowl or any cleaning. I been doing it that way for years and still here.

@safiremorningstarАй бұрын
What usually keeps our stuffing together is it's not from a mix and generally it's because it's packed in you know we literally push it in and it's not as liquidy as apparently yours was putting in the butter does not help it makes it kind of worse because it loosens the bits so I can see why you put an egg in.

Stove Top is already incredibly salty with unwanted chemical ingredients. Adding Swanson chicken broth adds additional salt and more chemicals. Much better to add homemade chicken broth or homemade turkey broth.
