Thank you for this I'm a huge Magnus fan love their products can't believe any archer would actually shoot a knock off but to each their own

I've used Magnus heads for years. I've killed deer with original Snuffers, Stingers, and Black Hornet SerRazors as well as turkeys with Magnus Bullheads. All are deadly! Mike Sohm also stands behind his products. I've used the lifetime warranty a couple of times. It is great, but more importantly the heads fly true and make stuff dead very, very quickly. If you like watching game go down in sight, get some Magnus heads. BTW, I have no affiliation with Magnus. I just use their products and highly recommend them.

Got some buzzcuts and am very glad I didn't order the Chinese knock offs, I did look at them and think 6$ for 3 beats 40$ for 3 but now that I have some and see the quality,sharpness and now you show me how straight they are, magnus can have my money every time I need broadheads!!

Now that’s a warranty! I’m just getting started in archery and don’t have any equipment yet. I keep hearing the name Magnus so I came here to learn about them. I have a question. Is this what would be considered a deep penetrating broadhead? I’m guessing a fixed broadhead penetrates better than a mechanical. Also,how difficult is it to sharpen the serated blades? It’s a bit off topic but I thought I would ask. I’m looking at getting a 10 point Nitro 505. As one of my friends always says “go big or go home”
@NewDayOutdoors Жыл бұрын
Yes they will penetrate deeply. As to sharpening, if you go over to the Magnus Broadheads KZbin Channel and I have done multiple videos on sharpening the serrated blades. Thanks for the views. Please subscribe to my channel ... it means the world to me.

Just yesterday I ordered two packs of Magnus Killer Bee 150grn. Off evil bay. One was canceled by seller (out of stock) The other shows the actual package of Magnus! I sure hope when I get this package it is not in wong dongs. The seller is bowhuntersuperstore so I'm hopeful I'll get the real deal. I have used Magnus for decades now and swear by them.( I do not want to hunt with wong dongs!) Great video, glad you posted it. Thumbs up!!! btw Magnus really needs to CATCH UP on inventory! I know the market is lacking the Magnus Killer Bee plain 2bld. 150grn. Again, thank you for posting!

In December 2021, we added a new machining center at our main facility that will machine nearly twice the amount of ferrules as our original machining center (which is still in operation). Both machines are running 24/7. We are catching up. The problem now is just like everyone else is having ... labor. We cannot find enough laborers to assemble and dial in heads. We are catching up on orders, but still further behind than we want to be. Until people decide that they want to work though, this will be the world that we live in.

Well said. I have no problem buying foreign made goods if they are their own design and engineering. However that is not what most of the Chinese products are. With that said some of the fault lies with companies that make a deal with the devil when they move operations over there to increase their margins. I for one am and will be a lifetime Magnus customer as long as they keep making high quality products and support the American worker and the customers that support them. Magnus really is top notch.

lol at 4:20 look how the ferrule lines up on the head. They are not in the middle of the blade? more material on top side than on the bottom lol. P.S. my hornets are coming in today from Bass Pro

How and why are we able to buy these knockoffs on eBay and Amazon? Everyday they're selling in plain sight and what's being done?
@NewDayOutdoors5 жыл бұрын
That is a great question for Amazon and eBay to answer and possibly the US Government as well. MANY companies in the archery world and other market segments are getting hit with these intelectual property thefts. Not only are they stealing from US companies, but there is no 11% exise tax on these products that we are required as part of the Pitman Robertson Act.
@byork223914 жыл бұрын
That is clearly not tied to Magnus or Stinger. It doesn't have anything in the name that would tie it to Magnus. Therefore, if you are stupid enough to think they are.... well you get what you deserve.
@Chiefshadow42 жыл бұрын
Our laws don't apply to them. Copyright in certain countries is lax. Stop crying about knock offs and buy the real broadheads.

It's great that you do stuff like this to help people avoid buying knock-offs. You could do without making fun of Chinese names, however. Your name might sound strange to them, too. I teach hunter education classes, and I have Chinese students, Russians, Romanians, and others all the time. Making fun of their names is just stupid. (Yeah, I know -- I'll get hit from the haters for saying this, but so be it.)
@NewDayOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
I did not make fun of anyone's name. I speak English ... it is a Chinese name. I have no clue how to pronounce in the proper dialect. I spoke slow, clear, straight up if it was in English. I have nothing against any person of any ethnicity, race, creed, etc. Lighten up.

Preach It! Great vid! I have to add, I can Never Ever pull punches when it comes to exposing the truth about chinesr junk. And one more, Never Ever will I apologize for America and Americans. Like you pointed out. The Magnus folks pay attention to detail in every respect. When they say specs are XYZ, you know that is how the product will arrive. Not so with the counterfeit chinesr junk. Tks again. Take Care & Stay SAFE!! **Misspelling intentional...shows lack of quality control. Was close to actual spelling, and it was understood what was being discussed.**

at the end of the day buying all this Chinese crap will basically put the American archery shops out of business. then you wont have an archery tech to set up your bow that you buy from an off brand overseas dealer. yeah you will save some money but I hope you know how to set up a bow because if not you will be spending much more at the grocery store. if you enjoy the sport of archery do yourself a favor and buy American made products. we already have a shrinking population of hunters and even less archers. its really up to the consumer to keep archery alive.

Whatever happened to the good magnus broadheads? I shoot traditional and they used to produce a broadhead much like the Zwickey. I liked them, now they are gone.
@NewDayOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Magnus sold the "traditional" line of heads to another company 7 or 8 years ago. The traditional line accounted for 10% of the sales but required 90% of the overall company labor. It was a matter of economics. The new company that bought the line, wanted nothing to do with being advised on how to make or dial in the heads. That company went out of business about a year or so later.

I used to buy bear broad heads,.....I can buy a whole bow,.... quiver,....arrows and bear broad heads like new for $50.00 on ebay then I have spare parts and broad heads. Chinese broadheads are ground hog arrows. disposable razors have better metal. I japan made broadheads they would be the best.

So the magnus are 85% better?
@regisquenneville72624 жыл бұрын
I just ordered some off amazon for 35 Canadian better not be that Chinese knock off. The package did look legit though in the picture.
@NewDayOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
We have not found any yet that are fake AND packaged in a blister pack and product card like a true Magnus. All of the counterfeit ones that we have found so far are packaged in a generic bag or container. The best bet on Amazon is to look at the seller. If it is truly Amazon or says it is sold through Amazon by Magnus Broadheads, then you are 99.9999% sure it is legit. If it shows a different seller than those, you run the risk of it being counterfeit. Ebay is the worst though. I wouldn't trust any of them on Ebay.
@chrispeterson12474 жыл бұрын
I try buying everything from my local bow shop. I know that’s not possible for some people but you can be almost 100% sure a store like bass pro or academy isn’t going to sell fake broad heads.

I want to believe the real things are made in USA but don’t. Show me a video from the factory and give an address
@NewDayOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
The address is 800 Washington Street, Great Bend, Kansas. Next time I am at the factory, I will shoot video. But Mike Sohm founded and began Magnus Broadheads in Kansas 36 years ago. Since then 100% of the products have been 100% made in the USA. Everything is made in Kansas. The laser welding of the SS Snuffer broadheads occurs in southern California. Not a single operation or material sources comes from anywhere other than right here in the USA.
