Yes, for those wanting to "quantitatively ease" the economy. It's all well intentioned and not at all self-interested, just like the Federal Reserve. We promise ;- )

Watch Jeff Turner’s interviews (the Koncrete one is the best). He just got out of a 11 month sentence for making a little over a million in counterfeit 100s series 1996. Doesn’t go step by step but he also drops a lot of game.

The easiest way to spot a counterfeit is magnify the center microprint of the bill. It cannot be faked because it is too small to accurately produced by printers.
@buyerenogurlfwendo2106 Жыл бұрын
True the best feature to check is usually the micro print but not many cashiers are carrying magnification tools

It is easy to counterfeit American currencies, but in some countries whose currencies are very difficult to counterfeit, for example, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia applies the highest security standards to its currencies, and it is difficult to counterfeit them because of the symbols that are invisible to the counterfeiter.

Although this is from National Geographic, a lot of this information is either completely incorrect or outdated. An in house counterfeiting process typically takes an investment of less than $750. There are also way more efficient ways of converting counterfeits into legitimate capital.
@buyerenogurlfwendo2106 Жыл бұрын
You’re 100% right on the money. If people want to hear about a good modern counterfeiter look up Jeff Turner. He used Bible paper and started off with a sub/$50 canon printer.

I have even a better one. You get all the banks together and when people borrow money. Dont give them money just give them a bank check. People take that check and cash it in another bank...usually another deposit somewhere. When they put the money in a deposit they get a debit card or write checks. Then, meanwhile through all this digital process not a single bit of USA currency is ever used. Just digital money. Anytime anyone needs to borrow money they use digital money.

The last time I used cash was to pay at a dmv which was almost 6 months ago. Debit cards all the way. Also, I hate coins.

Yes time2rebel....You are 100% correct. Except that they take the counterfeit and loan it to the government and the taxpayers pay for the interest and the principal never gets pay back.

So why would counterfeiters want to copy the new difficult bills? Wouldn't they just mark them as old ones and crumple them up a little? And small bills are much less conspicuous. If you turned ones to fives, just two an hour would beat minimum wage.

You have to lose $1 for each one note , then you need easy off to remove the ink (like $4 a can), then you have to use some ink from an inkjet printer which also costs money. Then a lot of cashiers scratch the suit/collar of the president to check for texture which yours won’t have because they use magnetic ink with a lot of pressure and you just used an inkjet printer. So you need to buy some glue pens to add texture which also costs money. Let’s say you scale it up and you can make $3.80 from a $1 turned into a $5. Ok now you got to break it. If you buy something for $1 that’s only $2.80 profit. Congratulations you committed a federal offense for $2.80! Also if they check for the watermark because the coloration is off (if you’re counterfeiting 5s you’re probably just photocopying blank bills taped to paper without any digital enhancement) then congratulations it won’t be there. Even $5 bills from 1990 to 1995 have a security strip despite an older design. You would need one from 89 and before just to have the same security features as a $1 bill. But yea pretty dumb to commit multiple fraudulent transactions for $2.80 each time. An experienced cashier that cares can tell by feel and coloration. I got handed a fake $100 and the moment it hit my hand I said you got to be kidding me. Coloration was off. The texture wasn’t right. I hold it up to the light and the security strip was just cursive scribbles and the Benjamin Franklin watermark was goofy looking. Lady tried to berated acting like I was trying to keep her 100 for myself and I said if you want it back then you have to wait for the cops to check it out to deny my suspicions this is fake. She ended up leaving and the cop confirmed it was fake. But yea as soon as it hit my hand I knew. She tried to get $20 in gas and come up $80 in real money. If she or her partner didn’t make them themselves they probably paid 20-30 cents on the dollar for it and I made them lose that. 5 and above automatically I’m scratching the collar of the president on the bill. If the coloration is off on any bill or if it’s an older series that also calls for a closer examination of the money.
