does anyone have recommendations to watch about knowing when you have a weak underhook that's vulnerable to this stuff and when you have a strong underhook? what position should you be able to reach with your underhook in order to feel that it is safe and not vulnerable to this stuff? I've heard that if you get your underhookd so deep that your elbow is behind them so that their overhook is around your upper arm rather than forearm then you're decently safe, but are there any other ways to make a not-so deep underhook not vulnerable? I guess the key is not to hang around with an underhook and immediately use it to off-balance or launch an attack they need to defend as soon as you get it without delay , rather than getting the underhookd then hanging out there like it's a tie-up.

Aoki. Wow that is really cool. If anyone grabs me on the street, I am going to give them an Aoki.

If he has an underhook, you automatically have an overhook, overhook out trumps an underhook....FMA Dumog concept...❤️

Wrestlers and BJJ people think the underhook is superior... but they don't reckon on the real combative counter to attempted underhooking: a headbutt and slapping the head, immediately followed by gouging the eyes, a much faster counter than grappling anyway. This is why smart combatants never lower their guard to allow the enemy to get the upper hand. Protect your neck!

@@danielskipp1 I like Erik Paulson training. I've seen many videos where he defines the difference between "self defence" and sports training There's a lot of self defence type who don't know the difference and often don't discuss the difference between reality and sports training. There one guy I've seen from England, Mick Coup who puts great perspective on "self defence" and sports training too.

Head position control is inaccurate now. Iranians changed that game.
