We use our epoxy to seal/skim coat and once poured you don't need a top coat.

Someone said to out Elmer's glue do the run off you can just peel off the sides. Do you think that's a good idea? Also, how do you clean your tools?

I honestly don't suggest it. You can chip out your project doing that. I've seen ppl using paint tape, Elmer's, liquid latex, all of it runs the risk of when you pull the drips up it can cause part of your project be ruined because it pulled something it shouldn't have. I just run a popsicle stick under the project every 30-45 minutes until it hardens. And you can use 99% Isopropyl Alcohol to clean the tools off. Hopefully, you get some rest and the treatments help!
