I enjoyed watching counts customs but I always get a chuckle out of this video it’s not a 69 GTO it’s a 68 The way of telling is the rear marker Pontiac arrow light on the rear quarter The side vent window The wraparound directional light on the Front lowervalance definitely the rear tail lights But Hey still a sweet looking GTO 👍

@Jack Russelle Lewis 68's had vent windows, different grille with a design of horizontal lines, and rectangular fog lights that partially wrapped around the corner of the valance. 69's didn't have vent windows, had a grille design that had a white stripe incorporated in the middle of them, and they had square shaped park lights.

@@chrisfangeat6651 I thought someone was going to miss it! The taillights were an integral part of the rear bumper. Not so much in '69. In fact, that's the way I used to note the year model of the late '60's GTO's back in the day. I've actually OWNED a '68 back in the early '70's before the oil crunch and you could still get leaded premium gas. Incidentally, they never even MADE a '68 Judge! If my memory serves me right, they didn't appear until the '69 model year. Danny really messed up on this episode. He may know cars in general, but he doesn't know his GTO's.

That's a '68.'68 taillights were in the bumper. The' 69 had taillights between the trunk and bumper. '69 didn't have vents on the doors or the Pontiac emblem on the hood.' 68 did. Also, there wasn't a Judge in '68. It debuted in 69 in this Carousel Red color.

Remember when the history channel knew what they were doing? This is a '68 GTO, the judge wasn't made until '69. A lot of people will put the decals on the '68 because it is a very similar body style however there are a few key features that give it away as a '68. 1. The Pontiac logo on the front bumper. '69 GTO's didn't have a Pontiac logo on the front. 2. The tail lights are in the middle of the rear bumper instead of being just above it like on a '69. 3. '69 GTO's have dash padding and a completely different style dashboard altogether. 4. Lastly, the '68 gto rear side markers were the Pontiac arrowhead while the '69 had the GTO crest

Yep, this is a pretty car, but.............I agree it is a 1968 model. I owned a 69 GTO Judge, unfortunately I sold it in the early 90s, mine was rather rare, I ordered it from the factory, it cost $3000, I did not want the console, ordered it specifically without the console, very very few are no-console models.

If the owner would bring it to it's stock 1968 appearance & get the hideaways working , it would be a much more desirable GTO. Still, a very nice & clean Goat. OK, yes, as an owner of a 1970 GTO I thought about adding the Judge decals & spoiler, too. Little strange that he didn't know the model year of his own car, however.

It's a very nice 1968 GTO Vent windows on doors, rear bumper, dash all unique to the 68 Model year only, but there was no Judge in 1968. But I forget most of these Guys were not around back in the day. Very nice car but incorrect Judge clone. More like "The Fudge" , fake Judge. Where TV gets a bit funny sometimes. How many guys would leave a Nice 50 year old car like that out in the street parked? My old stuff are locked away and so is every other Old Car Guy I know. But that's TV for ya Set up for the story. Im sure Danny knew he just rolled with it for the program, maybe he though the guy would come clean and say yeah it's a 68 but I wanted a Judge and well you know $$$$$. and I had this car so.. I contacted the show (via their Website to tell them that this was a 68 GTO cloned to look like a "Judge" after I saw the episode. Everybody below is correct; wrong grilles, marker lights, interior, bumper etc... Even my wife said , "that doesn't look like your car in the garage". I told them that if they wanted to profile a one-owner, numbers matching from front to rear 69 JUDGE, that they were more than welcomed. Unfortunately, I never heard back from the show. In the end it still is a nice car! But then again, I biased towards Pontiac's, even if not real...

What gives? These people can't tell the difference between a 1968 and a 1969 GTO? The car shown is a 1968 GM A body - GTOs were built using the A body as were several other models. The rear bumper and the front door vent windows are an indication this is a 1968 A body. The 1968 A body models had front door vent windows which were eliminated on the 1969 models. If this was a 1969 model and the doors were replaced, I would think they would provide doors from the correct year. Also, the 1968 GTO models had the rear quarter-panel side markers that were shaped like the Pontiac "arrowhead" emblem while the 1969 GTOs had rear quarter-panel side markers that were shaped like the GTO badge. All Judges also have "blacked out" grilles which this car does not appear to have. The Judge option was not introduced until 1969 and it ended in 1971. The owner got cheated if he thinks this is a 1969 GTO Judge because it is not.

It is a 1968 and not a Judge. The Judge didn't come out until 1969. When dude responded "Yeah" after he was asked if it was a '69. *IT IS A CLONE* dwb131313 is correct. The guys on this show know NOTHING about cars. 69 has a hood tach. 68 doesn't. 68 and 69 have completley different interiors front ends and rear bumpers. '68 has a vent window. '68s don't have factory spoilers, either.
