It is always the dream for just about any Pokémon GO player to be able to solo Five Star Raids. That way, they can do any content without the need for other players. However, being able to Solo a Five Star Raid is obviously no easy feat. In this video, I will be talking about how I have been able to take down some Legendary, Mythical, and Ultra Beast Raids by myself!

Attack Deoxys has such a razor thin defense I was easily soloing it after playing only a year. Four years later I'm still looking for at least a trio to take down other legendaries.

I’m a new player… well a 2016 player for 3 months who just returned to the game in novemeber 2023…. My deck is very limited and so is my stardust, but Im ambitious, I had a decent mamoswine that would always be suggested for raid battles, noticed he performed ok, so I maxed out as much as I can and started working on a second mamo swine im building, got a precious sinnoh stone and boom I evolved my 3rd mamoswine with the best ivs yet, used some fast tm and charged tms to give em all powder snow, avalanche & high horsepower Now Im having fun in the raids, that mamoswine has helped me out a lot…

I lost my first account, made ~2018 and having restarted, its genuinely painful trying to work my way to raids again. I have 3 gyms in my area that constantly just cycle Mega Manectric over and over AND OVER (with the occasional lugia), theres never a 2-4*. Since I started again, the only events to pass are the Halloween and Mankey that just happened, so my account is far from doing these raids and it sucks

No offense, but I think content creators who have influence over Niantic’s decisions are dangerous. I’m tired of hearing how limiting remote raids to five per day is some sort of game changing negative. At over $1 a piece, how many players are paying $150 per month just to farm up Verizion? Answer: only the very few whose income is dependent upon their shundo/hundo/shiny flex. The vast, vast majority of us will only do 5 remote raids per legendary release. For this video, it is completely crazy to me to suggest an average (or even every day) player consider soloing a Rayquaza by “simply” leveling up a full team of shadow Mamoswines to level 50. Perhaps you should do a video on how, exactly, one acquires that much candy XL and Stardust. How many hours would that take? How much money? Break it down. For the record, I am a level 48 player who has played since July 2016. I play every day. I can max out perhaps 2 decent shadow Mamoswines. Instead, it is FAR easier to find two others to play with. Costs nothing. I honestly fear content creators are going to push sentiment towards a style of play that suits only those who have a full time job to commit to playing.

@@CountJinsulaOfficial I apologize for my comments coming off as a personal attack. They were not meant to be that way. I certainly could have worded things differently. Overall, I like your content and appreciate your work. I would encourage more content focused on gameplay for a wider audience. I know that is difficult for those whose most loyal and consistent supporters are the top 1% of one percent of players, but there is a real risk of Niantic chasing the most vocal players, who do not often represent the vast majority of the community. I personally think a return to the old ways of managing remote raids would be horrible if it resulted in Niantic further incentivizing 5 star raids. With regards to this video, I think a simple recognition of the extreme challenge in collecting XL and stardust would help.

Mostly agree. Remotes should be limited so that people can’t just buy all the raid Pokémon with zero effort. The whole point of this game is that you go out and play. You also lose the community with over focussing on remotes which for me, is the best thing about raiding. You’re a little harsh with soloing raids though. Yes some of the teams are incredibly difficult to obtain but it’s useful to know which 5 star raids are soloable without potentially wasting a pass in trying it, which is the point of this video. As an example, Guzzlord is really easy requiring zero XL candy to defeat which is useful for players to know.

Not everyone is able to find other people to raid with also. Especially those in rural communities. So soloing may be the only way to defeat some legendaries, for me personally it’s a goal to be able to solo a legendary raid. it’s gonna take time but it is very easy to get plenty of candy and XL candy. You just have to catch quite literally everything you see

I wonder how much of your community is even on this level. Personally the stardust required to upgrade pokes to that level I’m not close too. Still trying to get to a million stardust. Barely have xl candies for budget/spawn Pokémon. I’m currently still rounding my team out trying to have two-three very strong piles of each type. I’m just now able to solo three stars

@@richardcope3077You’d have to play pvp for over a year to get anywhere close to 1mil stardust…That’s if you’re playing everyday, leveling up to 20 and getting the 5-6k stardust after 5 wins….5 wins in a row doesn’t happen that often once you’re in rank 20…Like, that’s just not a good way to grind. I’d recommend grinding field research, special research, and playing a lot during events. Specifically double, triple or 4x stardust events. Playing during a spotlight hour with a stardust boosted mon, and dropping a star piece, will get you wayyyyy more stardust than playing pvp constantly for any amount of time. You just gotta be on the watch for when certain stardust boosted mons get a spotlight hours, when double or better stardust boost are active during events, and the best advice of all…just catch ‘em all. 50 pokemon (non stardust boosted) = 5k stardust. 🫡

Honestly it needs to be both weekend days. I work Sundays so always miss out on Sunday events and can't always waste work time off for pogo. Good compromise is either have it be on both weekend days or where a player can trigger their CD event on whatever day they want during specific week.

The second people start making it easy to get something in a game the game dies. Happens in every game. People hate grindy games but dont understand its the grind and rarity that makes the game fun and addictive. Once its easy to get things people slow down and eventually quit. Not to mention half the fun in games like these is the flex. If everyone has it and its easy why play.

Excluding Shadow raids, I don't see why people don't use campfire more often! I almost never see anything about it in comments or videos and it makes the whole process of finding people to raid with so much easier. You can join up a raid with a remote raid pass with other players or you can host a raid locally with a regular raid pass. It's super simple and I do it all the time. While yes, soloing a five-star raid would be really cool but campfire makes it to where there's no need to have to be able to do that, only if you want to.

Another note for solo-ing raid bosses ... I would caveat that there are negative effect dependencies on the raid bosses' charged move, as well as positive effect dependencies on the current weather/weather boost in the game for your counter Pokemon.

My girlfriend and I did our first Duo Mega Raid against Glaile with Party Play and I had my Mega Shiny Charizard Y and we won since I manage to almost max out my Mega Shiny Charizard and she also had the right counters too.

Solo’d my first ever 5 star raid (Buzzwole) two days ago with a Shundo buddy boost lv49.5 Rayquaza. Max revives and setting up a party with just 1 pokemon helps.

Lets be real: easiest way is to make an alt. Most players have one anyway and even if you dont It basically needs no time anymore to reach lvl 30 and from there you can just catch some high level weather-boosted mons if in rotation. Even if the alt/main arent really good you cover quite a lot of 5 stars also thanks to party play. The revive all button also helps out a bit.

That sounds a good goal to try solo bosses. I'm still only able to solo level 3 bosses right now but that could become an objective for me. Thanks for the idea. Though finding enough stardust to power-up to max the basic pokemons I've chosen will already take me ages and once I'm able to fight in cool raids I'll probably catch nicer pokemon that will again take me ages to power-up. I suspect I could get bored trying to max pokemons quite soon.

My name is Sam. I live in Sweden inside a farm with forest and a huge lake. My only stop spawn is at the lake in the bath place at the Volley ball sand course. And legendaries I manage to catch is Diancie and Shaymin. I have Diancie and her mega evolution tho I didnt evolve it before the raid I just did today. My very first legendary raid boss. I did raid boss with some group of kids but was a Duragon but this time I actually manage to beat Rayquaza and I caught it! I was so hyped and happy if I could scream coz Im voice cracked and my voice pretty deep I can't make a good scream but I was trying to make one coz that how happy I was coz I have this friend from Belgium and she invited me to that raid and I couldn't be more happier! But yeah that why all my ice types went all front. I had lot of pokemon fainting but I so appreciate that the raid let me use more pokemon. I thought once my first team was out I was out of the raid but nope I could replace them with more pokemon and I did until I actually defeated Rayquaza who was Mega btw and I caught it. Im super happy! But I think if I had Mega Diancie it had been great. My Probopas was able to tank it quite good too with nice stats. I feel if I can defeat Ray then I dont have a bad feeling for the rest. I cant wait for a next boss raid now ! :D

I know most of the key element to solo 5 star raid boss but 3:30 was new to me, sooo... 1. Will it waste Best friend's Raid Pass ? 2. Will he be able to catch the raid boss ? 3. Or will he get booted from the raid right after countdown hit 0 ??? 4. What happen if i Have my best friend, make a 1 hour party to get boosted charge attack, enter the raid with 0 pokemon... will the Party Power bar appear ??? So many question here

hit pokeball, PARTY tab under BATTLE ... scroll down to GYMS & RAIDS, create your 6-Pokemon counter team ... use that team in raid, during rejoin reselct that team, revive/heal ... use the team again. Happy Raiding!!!

Legendary Pokemon are SUPPOSED to be hard to get. (you only get one of each in the base games.. unless you trade with... Wait for it.. other trainers! Pokemon is a game meant to be played with friends .. If every level 40+ player can just walk out the door and solo any Legendary Raid they want then what are they even worth?

Man, i only have TWO decent 93%+ shadow mamoswine. iv gotten SO many high def, and hp but just not FULL att.... i may accept a 14 attack if its a 14/14/14 or CLOSE... one of the TWO i have at lvl 40, is a 13/15/15... im strugglin.... For some of the best counters, they are non-raid Pokémon. For example Mamoswine is king against dragon types and darmanitan is a formidable fire type outside of reshiram.

So I take advantage of the guaranteed XL candy when trading pokemon events. I collect budget raid counters or those with mega evolutions, then trade them between two accounts to get XL candies. I usually power up my Hundos or an 80%+ IV shadows to level 50.

Walk your mons as well. 80% of the time you get an XL of the mon you are walking. If you can Poffin, do so. There are also "excite your buddy" methods you can use. Identify the best budget counters you have and you will have a good chance with the top rank ones...

Shadow Ho-oh will never even come close to being soloed unless Niantic screws up and releases it without giving it the ability to enrage like they did with Zapdos. Regular Ho-oh looks pretty close with Shadow Rampardos, but seems like out of range still
