And how does Niantic make money to pay developers, through its customers - the players of the game. It should be if you are already lucky friends, then you can use it. You send a pokemon, and the other player has the opportunity to send you a pokemon back, and you both have the opportunity to say yes and if you don't like the pokemon sent to you, you have the opportunity to say no.

Lucky trades are indeed all over the place. I have only 6, (don't trade too much,) 1 was a guaranteed from a 2016 mon I traded and the other 5 were completely random. But, I have a ton of friends on my friends list that are lucky friends.....that live way too far away from me. Implementing distance trading, even if that means limitations, would be a better idea. This gimmick is just a step in the wrong direction.

If you're best friends with someone and mass trade, you can get 2-3 lucky trades a day, you just can't guarantee what it is (and many non legendaries aren't worth the stardust investment anyway) guaranteed luckies depends on how you run your trades (I have 265 friends and im sitting on 54 luckies, most of them from the previous city I moved from 6 months ago)

i think it would be a good idea. especially for things like say the unova tour. being able to guarantee lucky trades for kyriums to have a better chance for higher IV. especially being able to do 6 trades a day for the event. that would be nice

I would love to see PvP IVs incorporated into lucky trades somehow. Also, I think lucky trades should have unlimited distance. ALSO, there should be a rudimentary messaging system so you can say things like “let’s make a lucky trade”

I’ve done nearly 500 lucky trades in my pogo career and I have yet to get a SINGLE hundo lucky pokemon. Not 1! It’s getting to the point where I don’t even know how I can have this awful of luck. The idea of an item to get more is cool but yea, idk. I’m kinda burnt out with lucky trades in general.

I've done over 1000 trades, 173 of which were lucky, and I've yet to get a hundo from it, much less a shundo. While I am a little intrigued, I don't think I would put much money into it, as my trading luck would probably remain the same. But I have to wonder, would both players have to buy it in order for it to work, or would just one be enough, or even would this mean one player's mon could go lucky while the other's doesn't?

Paid lucky trades, might be worthwhile might not. For me having a goal of a lucky shiny level 50 best buddy of each pokemon the current system is slow. I keep going lucky with people that will not trade, are to far away or I rarely see. Seldom go lucky with those I interact with the most which seems to be completely backwards

I wouldn't pay for an item to get a lucky trade. I have transferred 95% of all the lucky Pokémon I have ever gotten. If it isn't 98 or 100 percent, it isn't worth powering up, so I transfer it. To be honest I haven't powered up anything in a long time. I have 6 level 50 of every relevant type of attacker. Plus, I have no one to raid with and I can't tell you the last time I did a 5-star raid.

I do own a Lucky Living Dex. Years and Years of trading with many different players of my community. Each costume, each evolution, male/female, dynamax, gigantamax, megas, you name it, I have it lucky. I own more than 1300 different lucky pokemon (they're all different). Shiny luckies, I own a lot but I still need a lot of them. But my 3-star shiny dex is at 628/793.

This video is getting so old. Games are inherently pay-to-play. You go to an arcade, you pay. You get a game console, you pay. You buy a new game, you pay. If you don't want to get the tickets or buy the items, don't. I Max Mushrooms are dumb as hell, I haven't bought any of them. When there's a hatch event I don't get the ticket because I don't enjoy those events. Pretty simple, dawg. Posting a video every time Niantic drops a new paid item in the shop comes off like you're just cheap and the whining is... whining. Ok, you keep saying the word Egregious. You can get lucky Pokemon without buying this item. The difference in IV between a raid Pokemon and a Lucky Pokemon are not that different. This is a new item, isn't in the game yet, and isn't a situation where it was "once free/less, but now it isn't." We all agree that we want to play the game, which cost money to maintain, and that the developers and staff deserve to be paid for their work. So here is the perfect time to test my ongoing theory that everyone just wants something for free in a free-to-play game or something to complain about: How much is the appropriate amount for Niantic to charge for an item that currently has no known monetary value and isn't available in the game? Assume there is an item that guarantees a lucky trade, how much should it cost? And if your answer is, it shouldn't cost anything, how do you think Niantic should make money to maintain the game that we all are playing for free?

They sell our data, that's widely known, each big content creator makes up for the f2p, spending hundreds a week, I get your point, if it guarantees lucky trade, it shouldn't be free. But every move they are making now, kind of needs you to pay to keep up, they have removed so many things, and implemented things, which made paying an option, now it's more of a necessity. A f2p player will fall very far behind.

do you know how much money they make by selling data? its much much more than anything they earn. their most earning thing in game was remote raid passes and guess what? they can confidently nerf it multiple times even as to make it extinct and shoot down their most valuable in game source of income, why? because those investors and corpos pay exhorbitantly higher rates than anything they could have possibly earned from in game sales. the new routes feature literally tracks elevation and depression lol. they are getting insane amount of data from this mapping feature, the ar scan feature which basically scans places. and tons of other things.
