A fact I hadn't realized until Al mentioned it at a live show is that the guys in the backing band all play on his songs and videos. It's the same guys since he started using more than just an accordion for his recordings. THAT'S some dedicated band members.

This is one of my favorite Weird Al songs, though it's hard to pick a favorite because he just has so many good songs. Yoda is great as well. Smells Like Nirvana, Dare To Be Stupid, One More Minute, Living with a Hernia, Like a Surgeon, Amish Paradise, White and Nerdy, Hardware Store, Foil. Just a few off the top of my head. And since it's this time of year for all the good cheer, how about Christmas at Ground Zero, and The Night Santa went Crazy.

Weird Al does more than parodies. He also does polka medleys, where he takes a set of songs (alternative, songs from "Hamilton", etc.) and does a medley of them put to a polka beat. And he does what he calls pastiches, which are original songs designed to mimic the style of a band.

If you're talking about Madonna and "Like A Virgin", she never specifically asked Al to parody it. What she did was rhetorically ask her personal assistant, "How long it will be before Weird Al makes something like "Like A Surgeon"? Her PA knew someone in Al's circle and relayed what Madonna said. Al took that as permission to parody and ran with it.
