what tuning is this?

I forget the exact tuning. It started off in C6 but I remember tuning up the top 3 strings to a match the key of A. I believe the top two strings were both tuned in parallel, to I think an E. Sorry I don’t remember the exact tuning. What you see is exactly what I played though.

Ok, so curiosity got the better of me and I had to figure it out. The bottom 3 strings aren’t used at all in the solo, so it’s probably still in C6 or CEG. The top 3 stings are so BEE. So…. the tuning from bottom to top is CEGBEE which is…. an E minor 6? or C13? Same thing technically. Basically though I was just using the unison EE as the 5th of A for most of the solo.

I have the same lapsteel. Haven’t used it because I don’t have a bar. What’s your bar and do you recommend it? Sounds great.

Thanks! It’s the Dunlop Lap Dawg. I’ve never used a traditional round bar so I can’t say if better or not, but it’s very comfortable for me and I don’t have any issues with it.

It's just a cheap Rogue Lap Steel I bought on Amazon for about $100.

Hey, is this still stock in the video or did you change the strings or something? Sounds great! Mine is en route for delivery...

Thanks! This was recorded about a year after I first got it, so at that point I had changed the strings. I believe they are SIT C6 Lap Steels (15-36). All the electronics are still stock though.
