He's an incredible song writer. He said in an interview one time that most of his songs are written in ten to twenty minutes. That blew me away. I play guitar very well and I can play anything I hear but writing songs is a whole other talent.

This song is so easy to cry to. Aaron has a way of turning the simplest of messages into a myriad of emotions. He's an absolute legend. I've been listening to him for 20 years now. His voice is irreplaceable. This is probably the 200th time I've listened to this exact recording. When reading other comments and hearing it all together it just hits different. Hug em tight, love em long, you only get one mom.

I wish my kids could hear this song. I'm turning 66 this year. I miss them. They were my life for years. My youngest daughter caused a huge family problem. Broke up my 36yrs of marriage bliss . They walked away 7 yrs ago with my 6 grandkids I (we) raised. My husband missed the part of the vows in sickness and health . After I saved his life not once but twice. And yes I eould fo it again. But "daddy's little girl". Got her way, one last time. I occasionally talk to my son, who's my life! He's busy with his life. But , when I'm gone, he (they) will realise--its to late. I love you son,my life line. Girls-it is what it is. To my grandkids-- rember all the goodtimes and all the ones we missed

Aaron Lewis was the guy I was singing along with when I was going through my younger years as a teen and as I struggled to become a man! His music does something I would love to do, reach people. Mr. Lewis you have made a difference sir, in my life and so many others never stop speaking out because we hear you, never stop singing because we listen. I may not know you personally but your music whether it was with Staind or what you do now in country music has helped me to know and understand that I am not alone in my pain and depression. Your words are anthems for the lost!

My mama tried everything for me but she kept failing to control the demons I released on my family. But now I'm trying my hardest to show her how much I appreciate her love and affection she gave me when I was going through hell. I dedicated this song to her one day and she bursted in tears. She forgave me but things between us will never be the same.

I've just realised I've always loved country if this is country music? My dad had an old guitar, would drink a few beers and go in another room while strumming the four chords he knew and sang his favourite country songs. Guess he passed it on to me along with that old guitar, rip Dad hope your still drinking and singing.

The people who disliked this video obviously have a problem with the GD bomb Aaron dropped.. But it only adds to the "cry for help" vibe this song gives off. Aarons voice is so powerful, filled with emotion. But in the immortal words of Confederate Railroad.. "Jesus and momma always loved me" So no matter what we do, we are forgiven...

Mom was heartbroken after dad passed and she cried everyday missing him. He was 39 with 8 kids and mom was 17 when they married in 1976 and then my mom had me and my brother so together they had 5 boys and 5 girls. I was blessed with the best arms this song is amazing. My dad was a preacher for 64 years of his 84 years. He was 84 and mom was 65 years old when she passed. Keep up the singing cause this is the BEST!!! THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU

I hate to even think about it but I know it's enviable and that day will come much much sooner than I want it to. Doesn't matter how old you are, doesn't change the amount of pain it will cause. I wish you all the very best and hope you have all found your own ways to deal with the loss. This song is amazing but definitely tugs at the heart strings.

I just lost my mom a few weeks ago and I've kept myself so busy with work so I could just avoid the emotions but I guess tonight is the night as I stumbled on this with my headphones so I don't bother anyone asleep and have my moment. I wish I could go back the day before and given her one last hug before we unknowingly parted for the last time.

I've been missing my mother since I was 12 yrs old. She's been gone now for 34 yrs and my father passed b4 her when I was 5yrs old, he's been gone for 41yrs. Go easy or Go with God and he'll lead the way, and even carry you when you can't seem to go on.

She always told me how proud she was of me. To this day I don't know why. I would give everything including myself for just another moment with her. MOM I MISS YOU SO MUCH!!!

Some people are too smart for their own good. We are tortured souls, you & I. I wish I could express it through music like you, Aaron, but I find other ways to deal with this game of unreality we call life. Thanks for putting yourself out there for all of us to share. You encourage me to keep going.
