Just a note: if you recognize Spain as an Empire by 1500, you have to recognize Portugal as an Empire too. This applied to the 1000-2020 video as well. By 1500 Portugal was even more powerful Empire than Spain, having Brazil, the African colonies and also cities in India. Anyway… just glad Empires are over now, as well as slavery. And it’s good to have been in the little peacef corner for a while 🇵🇹

However, this is planned to be included in the 1000-2022 improved video of the history of Europe, and the history of Europe 1-2022 video as well. This also includes: * Add the first Bulgarian Empire, the Kingdom of Serbia in the 1000's and 1100's, and the Kingdom of Croatia. Also, add Kingdom of Scotland, Ireland, Norway, and Sweden in the Middle Ages, they should exist, merge, and be ejected in and out of their respective historical balls, and eventually merge into the Kalmar Union in the early 1400s. Scotland and Ireland should stay on the map and get merged into England through the Acts of Union. Don't forget to include the Kingdom of Burgundy, it should be merged into the HRE in 1050. Iceland should be absorbed by Norway, and Norway should turn the same color as Denmark or Sweden depending on what country had Norway. * Add the Norman Conquest; it should feature France hitting Anglosaxon England, and it will turn light blue to match the color of France. When the Angevin Empire formed, it should turn back to dark blue and be slightly merged into France to show King Henry and Eleanor of Aquitaine's marriage. * Change the "Leon-Castile" ball into 3 separate balls: Kingdom of Galicia, Kingdom of Leon, and Kingdom of Castile. Also add Kingdom of Navarre, the Kingdom of Barcelona, and the Kingdom of Aragon. Castile only absorbed Leon in 1230 and merge the ball of Leon into the ball of Castile in 1230. Also, the Kingdom of Galicia should leave the map in 1120. The Kingdom of Aragon should absorb Barcelona in 1160 to form the Crown of Aragon; in this video, Aragon voluntarily joins the map. Also, the Moor's ball (the Caliphate of Cordoba/Almoravids/Almohads/Taifa Confederation) should stay a little while longer as the Emirate of Granada, and will leave in 1492, when the Reconquista ended. * Make the Crusades more accurate: * The 4th Crusader armies only came from Venice, neither France nor the HRE contributed to this Crusade, yet the 4th Crusader Army's ball came from said countries. Also, the HRE contributed to the 3rd Crusade, so it would be interesting if 3 countries ejected balls that formed the 3rd Crusader Army. Add the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th Crusades. The 5th Crusader army's ball should be ejected out of France and the HRE, the Ayyubids' ball should push the Crusaders back into the HRE. The 6th Crusaders should be ejected from the HRE and the Teutonic Order State, it should beat the Muslims and change into the Crusader States, the 7th Crusaders, possibly be the only Crusader ball ejected from one parent ball, besides the 4th Crusade, which is the Kingdom of France, should be pushed back hard so it goes back to France. The 8th Crusaders, came from France and Sicily, should be pushed into Sicily. The Muslims that were fighting against the 8th Crusaders were the Hafsids. * Add the Kingdom of Sicily in 1263 to contribute to the 8th Crusade, France should absorb it when it hits the ball of Aragon. * Lithuania should be added in 1236, not 1317. * The Mongols should explode into the Golden Horde in 1264, and it would stay until it turns into the Grand Duchy of Moscow when Ivan the Great took the throne. * Add the Kingdom of Moldavia, it should be ejected from Hungary in 1360. The Serbian Empire should "mitose" (split) into Bosnia, Moravian Serbia, and Montenegro after the Ottomans hit Serbia. * Austria should be added in 1453. It should be ejected from the HRE. * Spain doesn't get officially unified until 1516, when Charles V took the throne. Instead, you should slightly merge the balls of Castile and Aragon to show Ferdinand and Isabella's marriage. Also, they got married in 1474, not 1466. * The Teutonic Order State should not leave in the mid-1400s, it should stay until 1525, and it will shrink into Livonia, and it would stay until it gets crushed between Sweden, Poland, and Russia in 1560.

England was not particularly relevant in Europe before the second half of the 18th century and the 7 years war, and even more with their industrial revolution. Before that they were never the top dog, it's just a wrong idea many people assume due to their huge colonial empire. They basically made a very late entry.
