My version: the Riechtangle was born out of the shambles of the Holy Roman Empire, the twisted child of Prussia. With its strength, it claimed colonies in Africa and the far east and enjoyed pushing others around in Europe. Then came 1914 brutal war descended on the world, and the Reichtangle enjoyed it, but as the years drove on the war turned against it, and though it slayed the great Russian bear, it still lost the war to the west. And though the world thought it dead, it slipped into the shadows waiting for the right time to return. It watched son the Third Reich murder his brother, the Weimar Republic, and plunge the world into another global conflict, and it was proud. It observed as its son lost the war, and slip in two, giving birth to the Reichtangle's grandchildren. It watched the world until 1992 when it reemerged, looking to reclaim its old claims, and expand and conquer Europe, making it into a greater German empire, under the Kaiser. Even so, the Reichtangle still prefers to stay in the shadows stalking and toying with its victim, like some deranged predator. No one knows where it comes from and where it returns to after it strikes, it comes and goes as if it were a shadow.

I have a theory about reichtangle and it’s quite simple: Reichtangle is the embodyment of everything negative about Germany, imperialism, Genocide, anti semitism, etc and it’s just the manifestation of those, it doesn’t represent nazi Germany or the German empire itself but just an emalgimation of germanys fears and its dark history, same way Omsk bird is to Omskball.
