I can imagine someone like Nick finding out about the Vault-Tec Meeting that took place around this time. “All this because of a little bit of greed…” Most likely culprit for recording the meeting is House. His goals weren’t in line with the rest of the Enclave, nor was he fully confident in the prospect of the End at all. Though we did see he indeed turned quite a pretty profit from the End with the Vegas Strip under his management. Regardless, if we ever get a spin off with a detective as the MC for a fallout series, confronting Mr. House about this meeting like the Courier’s Gambit take on it.
