As of today, Friday 14th July, we are incredibly proud to announce that we will be known as The Royal Countryside Fund.
Following our founder’s accession to the throne, and with the gracious consent of His Majesty The King, we are changing our name from The Prince’s Countryside Fund to become The Royal Countryside Fund, which ensures that His Majesty’s commitment to farming and rural communities endures for generations to come.
To date, we have supported over 2,500 small farming businesses through our resilience programmes and invested over £11 million in nearly 500 projects through our grants. However, we know that there is a lot more for us to do; and while we are rightly proud of all that we have achieved across the UK, we also know that thousands of farmers and rural dwellers need our help.
We thank all of the farmers featured in this short film for taking the time to speak about The Royal Countryside Fund, their experiences and the impact His Majesty continues to have on rural Britain.
But we can’t stop there. Our work depends on people like you who care deeply about the countryside and its survival. By becoming a Friend of the Countryside from as little as £3 a month, you will help ensure we continue to reach farming families and rural communities throughout Britain and give them the support they need to thrive long into the future.
