We planned on Burning the brush pile today. We start by cutting off the stumps of the last trees we cut down and added them to the pile. But we realized it was too windy to burn the Brush pile. So we decided since it was such a warm winter day, that we would relax and enjoy the day. So we fished the pond and grilled out. It was nice to relax for a change.

When the wind is outta the east the fishing is the least. Also early morning and late in the evening is usually the best time for fishing plus when The weather is about to turn bad is usually the best time for fishing. Nice video though, always enjoy listening to how you present each video your good at it...

You are a blessed man. Love your place. Try a 4” Texas rig or Carolina rig crawfish 🦞 plastic worm, natural color for your area. Work it slow with little twitches. This time of year fish are slow to bite. If that don’t work, use a little flip tail crappie jig. 1/8 oz. if that don’t work, go sit by the fire. Thanks for the video 👍👍🐝🐝

You can already prick the lower leaves off for lettuces, then repeat a week from now, and you can repeat that for about 4+ weeks or so. Just don't take the top two rows off...cone and cut method. No need to wait until you get heads.

Hi Guy's I have a couple of questions. Hope you don't mind? 1. That pond has got to be loaded with Bass, Bluegill, Perch, Catfish... You all should be eating those healthy fish. Minnows (Shiners) under a bobber set just off the bottom should be the cats meow. You hotta be quiet. The entire pond can hear your clanging that anchor. Fill a gallon milk jug with sand and use it for a anchor. Also your oars are to noise get a cheap trolling motor. Fish bite and feed like your livestock (All the time) get a fish finder and trolling motor and some shiners put some carpet on the floor of that boat and your luck will change. Check your state regs for jug fishing and throw about 10 jug lines baited with beef pork liver that has set out in the sun a few days in a ziplock bag. The stinkier the better. Fish stage jn different depths of watee as per the water temps. BUT THEY EAT ALL THE TIME EVEN THOUGH THE ICE YOU JUST HAVE TO FIND THEM. Thus get a Hummingbird fish finder and be quiet. Hire hunters to get those coyotes. They are smart and can actually climb you pasture fences and kill your pets (CATS,) even dogs. Coyotes pass their intelligence down through their litters thus they WILL learn your perimeter weaknesses. Alot of farmers put Emu birds and breed them for sale as watchdogs and to sell their meat. Also Donkeys run off Coyotes too. Don't be surprised if you get a few Snapping turtles on those jug lines. They are easy to butcher but patience is needed to wait for them to bleed out after removing their heads and hanging by the tail for a few hours. They have very powerful legs and their toe nails are long dirty and full of bacteria. And let them bite a stick hit them with a hammer on top of the head then chop it off when they are dizzy and stretching them out. They are full of multi colored meat that can be fried like chicken or made into soup. GOOD STUFF. TAKE CARE AND GOD BLESS. capttv2@gmail.com

When you were fishing in your boat, you should have dropped your hook straight down to the bottom then raised it about a foot or so . Like you said they were close to the bottom so drop your hook then wait for the tug . Probably better with worms or minnows . I learned the hard way years ago . A man right beside me kept catching fish and I did not get a bite.EITHER WAY YOU HAD FUN AND THATS ALL THAT COUNTS .

At the start of this video you said you’d like to put more fish in the pond , you might want to check out any fish farms in your local area and see what type of fish they have , you might be able to acquire some different species of fish fingerlings to stock your pond with ... you could get maybe 50to 100 of each species you would like in your pond for restocking ,,, just something to consider and think about ...

Probably the best thing to use is live bait right now. Worms! But like you said, it was still relaxing and fun. Do you think you have enough fish in the pond? Catfish? Bass? Crappie? Have you thought about stocking it? Or maybe catching some from local river and putting in your pond? Just a thought. Great video again!

My dad was an avid fisherman who never fished in the winter time in my area of KY. He always talked about 'waiting until the water turns over' sometime in the spring as his sign that the fish are back to being active. This makes sense mainly due to fish being cold blooded and right now that water I'm sure is freezing meaning those suckers aren't moving but just chilling on the bottom of the pond not eating much of anything.

I like to do that every now and then. Sometimes I just light a campfire and sit by the fire all day just listening to nature and enjoying our property. It does me good even though sometimes afterwards I feel kind of "guilty" for not doing anything. However, everybody needs to take those days to "re-charge" and just relax. As far as the fishing, bass in cold weather will not go after a fast moving lure. Now of course it's all relative to the area of the country that you are in, but for me (North Florida) if you are fishing for bass or even pan fish in 60 degree weather with the water being that cold, fish a very slow moving lure like a plastic worm. Someone told me once that "if you think you're fishing slow enough... slow down". I would imagine that in your region the bass are in the pre-spawn stage. Typically they will bite pretty good, but again only slow moving baits. I'm sure that where you are the spawning window is a lot smaller, but look for the fish to start "bedding" in about a month. The key is to monitor the water temperature. Once the water begins to warm up the fish will move onto the beds. Here in North Florida the spawning season is pretty wide. Bass usually start moving onto the beds (depending on weather and water temp) in late December and can be found on beds in spring (late March - early April). This has been a very mild "winter" for us so I think that window might even be wider. Again though, sometimes it's best to "take a weekend off" and just relax.

Watch the barometric pressure. Rule of thumb is rising pressure is best. Rapid rise or fall is good. Stationary is poor. I think low pressure is not so good either. Fish deep right now and cast out and let bait set on bottom.

I heard you say something about having faith in an app, Peter and some other fishermen did very well when they had faith in the app available to them, app stands for application, Peter and the other fishermen with him applied obedience to JESUS and cast their nets on the other side where JESUS said to fish, i haven't always been told by GOD or JESUS where to cast or when to cast in a specific spot but I do ask GOD to lead and guide me in all things at all times and many times i believe GOD has told me to cast to a specific spot where i have caught many fish and large fish . So my favorite apps ( applications) are prayer and The Bible and " Applying " Faith .😊
