Evan, When you feed the chickens, if you just put food at the end you're going to move the tractor, I think this will keep the chickens nearer you, so that they don't get hit by back of the chicken tractor as you drag it to the new location. Once you finish moving the tractor, then completely fill the full length of the feeder trough.

My workplace safety program harps on us to push loads rather then pull them in order to reduce injury. I see how you move your chicken house. Maybe adding some wheels at the far end in order to reduce the load of dragging it could help. Maybe ATC/side by side opportunity to reduce physical wear and tear beforehand. love the show.

You can get free pallets use them to set your implements on. Keeps them from sinking into the ground and rusting. Also makes it easier to hook up next time.

Hey Evan. I found how to set the slip clutch on your baler. Loosen the nuts on the springs just until the springs is just loose. Then tighten the nuts 1 1/2 turns. That will set the tension on the clutch

Try putting the chicken feed only at the front of the troughs (near where you're pulling). That might keep the chickens up front instead of in back.

Put tin foil on the grill to keep it clean, when you're done cooking your food on it just roll it up and throw it away. No more scrubbing necessary.

Really nice homestead..I just wanted to give a suggestion..since u have so much trees and wildlife around just make sure u thin out the forest area and fence ur pastures around because the bacteria from wildlife can really do a number on ur life stock..I didn't have any idea abt this until I had to put down a horse and couple of my cattle

I could see the chickens were having a swinging breakfast. If you have Harbor Freight in your area thay have I think eight inch wheels very cheap. The tires do not use air so they will not sit there and go flat. They are also steel wheels.

When I mentioned the roosting boards, I missed that you had meat birds. When they get heavier they probably won't walk with you as you move the tractor.

As to why the animals avoid eating the grass when it goes to seed. I don’t know this for sure, but my uncle and grandmother worked on a farm most of their lives and always said when the grass goes to seed it gets bitter and the animals don’t like eating it. I don’t personally know this, but just what my Oma always said. Hope that helps.

The drawbar on your tractor seems might close to your driveline. If lowered in to a low spot or ditch to clean up ditch, driveline maybe damaged and can be an expense fix.
