I like that you often tell us how much things cost. I am not sure why most KZbinrs don't do that. Knowing a price makes it more realistic, much more interesting.

I had an old guy from Iowa, he used chain link fence dragging it behind a tractor or ATV. It worked great.

Magnificent! You and your wife should be very proud of all that you have accomplished on your homestead.

Wow all these videos on house build is amazing. A lot of work and your both did a lot yourself. That would save some $$$. Awesome all your hard work is definitely worth it.

Just beautiful!!! Fantastic drone footage, you really scored on this place. I usually don't like music in videos, especially when the creators put in god-awful banjo music but your choice was really good, I like it! I've been following since you broke ground and have really enjoyed these progress vids, very well done. I hope you keep making videos, I'm looking forward to the barn reno!
@CountryViewAcres6 жыл бұрын
Yea, the barn renovation will be a big job. Mostly going to focus on the lower level where the animal stalls are. It will eventually need a roof and fresh paint. Not sure how much we will tackle this year.

Great video ! Thank God for truck drivers who know how to tail gate stone ! Don't stop the filming please ! Is there any big Bass in your pond and also was curious if you have a trash pump that you could hook up to a series of sprinklers to keep that new lawn soaked ? Thanks and what a beautiful job you have done !!
@CountryViewAcres6 жыл бұрын
I just caught 2 decent sized bass tonight. But mostly just small bass, the pond got over populated before I bought it. As for a trash pump, I don't have one, but one would be handy to have.

Looking good when a plan comes together. The size of the plot makes any modification or improvement that needs outsourcing expensive. At least sowing grass will hopefully be cheaper....

you should Straw every place you plant seed, it keeps the ground damp and help the seed germinate.

Here's a little secret not a lot of people know bout when buying rock. When you get whichever stone whether it be ABC(crush), or 57 get Non DOT spec. It's 2/3 the price and is pretty much the same. Just isn't DOT certified for highway/state Rd use.

You never said how much you spend in the full construction.. that's the part i would like to know' cuz iam planing to build a cabin in Tennessee and was wondering about how much i would need" thank you....
I know this is an older video but 250.00 for a load of gravell?? Good lord! It's almost 600.00 a load now.

Looks Great! Did you have to get flood insurance?
@CountryViewAcres6 жыл бұрын
Thanks. No, I didn't have to get flood insurance. The pond has an emergency over flow, and the walk of the basement is slightly higher than the dam.

How do you come across a property like this?

Now you need a parking pad or 3...
@CountryViewAcres6 жыл бұрын
In the area that the vehicles were parked in the video, but not that far back, we are planning for a garage/workshop to be built there in the future. So we will probably add gravel that direction for parking. But the driveway is 15 foot wide, so a vehicle can park on one side, and another vehicle is still be able to drive around on the other.

What was the dog playing with at the beginning that looked like it went under the porch?
@bryanmmusic6 жыл бұрын
Nevermind, looked like the cat. :p
@CountryViewAcres6 жыл бұрын
Yea, it was a cat. They play together, but looks like my dog is trying to kill the cat, so I try to keep them out of the videos when they play. I was wondering if anyone would notice.

How much did it cost you roughly to have your driveway done?
@CountryViewAcres5 жыл бұрын
I have about $10,000 in it. It is 15 feet wide and 1250 feet long.

Beautiful layout I love it. Aren’t y’all going to build carport for all automobiles?
@CountryViewAcres6 жыл бұрын
We have a carport at the front of the property that we might move back there. But the long term goal is to build a pole barn with half a garage and half a wood working shop.
