I had the privilege of playing 18 holes with this gentleman at Griffith Park about 50 years ago. He's legit. He was sixty-seven years old and shot an easy 5 under from the tips. His ability to control a golf ball was off the charts. He stayed on balance in his follow-through until the ball stopped rolling and never took a practice swing "In his life." One of a kind. Savant!

Thank you for that memory. An easy 67 from the back tees at age 67! Was it on the Wilson course? If so that was over 7000 yards of golf course.

Can you make available the entire instructional video? These snippets are great (and I've been experimenting with his system of addressing the ball to achieve improved mental focus) but I think the best way to ensure his teachings don't get lost to history is to simply make it available to the world as he would teach it.

These snippets are the entire video, there is no more content in this series. However there is a never seen before vid that was found. We will be posting that one in the near future.

When Yogi reached the top of the backswing, he was done. Yogi did not try to hunt the ball ; nor did he try to pivot, or flex any muscle . Instead he surrendered to gravity and centifugal force. From the top, one can clearly see the mass of his core dropping down vertically, onto his right side and not spinning out horizontally toward the target. Because all the moving parts , were working at the speed of gravity the clubhead, was mechanicaly coupled to the rotating mass and he was able to create extreme shaft flex at p5 and mantain that flex into impact, whereby , that flex, released like a leaf spring. This was the secret to his incredible distance and accuracy. When one reaches the top of the backswing, Yogi states, that there should be no intention to swing at the ball, or make any attempt to move towards the ball. The secret is "nothing", only a mental state of " YOGI ", IN ORDER TO REALISE A STATE OF BODILY PERFECTION 😊 😊

Tim was teaching at that time. Have you been able to use what you learned?
@jeffedmundson39349 ай бұрын
@@countyogigolf Sort of. Tim's interpretation of count Yogi's swing seemed a little "Clunky" to me but I enjoyed my time with him.
@countyogigolf9 ай бұрын
Understood, I studied under Tim as well, but I always used CY's books and vids as my guide, rather than Tim's swing. He understood the theory well, but was not really able to demonstrate the full swing. His strokes and putts were more consistent with Yogi's technique, than his full swing. But the thing he must get credit for is keeping the Art going, and setting us up to delve deeper into it than he did.

Oh happy day!! We've been waiting for months for some new Count Yogi wisdom, and here it is. Please keep the pipeline open and the tap wide open, because we can't get this valuable information fast enough. BTW, did the Count ground his woods favouring the centre of the face, or nearer the toe? Thanks again :)

You are welcome. I apologize for the delay on uploading, but I still have a day job, and I have been working hard on increasing my Yogi golf knowledge and improving my Yogi golf skills. But know that I do appreciate the importance of spreading the arcane and incredible golf knowledge that I have been blessed with. Stay tuned!

My biggest take away that has benefited my swing is the counts right heel grounded to impact and then off the ground once the ball is on its way.
