There is a young drummer Yoyoka who has the Bonham bass triples down and covered an earlier live version of Black Dog. Her family band now include it in their live sets. She is well worth checking out. Thank you for this reaction and analysis.

Zep does have some surprisingly easy songs to play on the bass . You could be new to the bass and learn whole lotta love in about ten minutes if you are instructed properly as most bass players play it wrong. But the time signature in this song is crazy and would take a more advanced player..

it is rare that the "live" are better than the studio recordings and there it is obvious, apart from the guitar solos where the musicians really have fun the sound quality and the vocals are not there, listen to the studio version which is phenomenal, but that remains my humble opinion
