Not really. A lot of low life people tend to spend money they don't have at the casino. All they had to do was be walking past when they saw the big win and then went to their vehicle and waited until they saw the couple leave the parking lot and follow them. What Casino's need to do with wins like that is offer 3 options: 1. A check, 2. Direct Deposit, 3. A non-emergency call to see if any officers are available to escort the people that won a large amount to their home or bank. Most of the time at 7 am, there is at least one officer willing to do that even if he is off-duty to make sure something doesn't happen.
