What you see with John is what you get - no airs and graces for him. He is one of the most down to Earth and loyal humans on this planet. There's heaps of interviews to react to if you want to - he is the same in all of them...loves to talk, thinks he's funny haha...just approachable and kind.... we love him.....People can't believe that he was such a heavy smoker and still sang like that or that he suffered from stage fright (mainly I think because he is a perfectionist - once he was on stage he was fine... ) The brick comment - he said whilst he was quitting smoking, he could have eaten a brick - dry....meaning he would have done anything to get past the cravings...Another great reaction guys - thank you again !!

Who needs a warm up when your name is John Farnham. We been blessed to get almost weekly doses of John Farnham at various stages over the years, during one interview or another. Plus many times on Hey Hey, Countdown, his own variety show with Debra Byrne, guest appearances in many tv shows, his own tv show Bobble Dazzler, plus concerts, musical theatre and so on. So he has just been there our whole lives which is why we love him so much. For all his fame he is just a regular one of the guys. Ever since covid this is what we've had to resort to. Watching reruns of all these things on line Ps that's his wife at 7:42

@karenstrong88872 жыл бұрын
This made me laugh and cry. I didn’t know John sang this song until our beautiful adopted daughter won a singing contest singing it. She told us who sang it before she started and the judges didn’t know it either. One wrote on her paperwork that she never liked John until that night. Now she was going home to listen to more of his work without an opinion. Whenever John was on the Ray Martin show it was fun. One of the best parts of this one was seeing Glenn Wheatley at the end, he is missed and I hate Covid. My husband always called my Mother the dragon lady. He was the only person living that said it to her in person. He saw her coming one day, opened the door and yelled, the Dragon Lady is here. I thought he is so dead, I will miss him. The look on her face went from I will kill you to a smile and she started laughing. No one else was ever game to say it. If you live in Australia you cannot afford to smoke. The Government tax now makes them around $45.00 a pack. It is becoming rare to see a smoker here now. Thank you for this one. I think you two are part Australian. You get our bent sense of humour.
@reactiontalk2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment. How wonderful to find John in such a way and even to share with a judge! Did Covid contribute to Glenn's death? I couldn't believe it when you mentioned the price of a pack of cigarettes. So only the Wealthy and Elite get to smoke in that country? I checked and the $20 bag of tobacco we buy here in America costs $460 😱 in Australia. I bet they still allow them to drink alcohol and eat lots of sugar without higher tax regulation even though they are just as detrimental to health. I can't wait for the day when the people decide to regulate the Governments. They can pay the people billions of dollars for all the atrocities they have committed against us, including taxation aka THEFT.
@karenstrong88872 жыл бұрын
@@reactiontalk, yes, we didn’t know Glenn got Covid just before Christmas. He passed away in March from complications from Covid. The week before they told his wife and John he had turned the corner and was getting better. We know both families here, both wives and it is like we lost a family member. John and Glenn were mates, where one was so was the other. I don’t think John has been seen since he left the hospital. He released a press notice saying he would care for Gaynor and the family. You know it is mostly the one’s that cannot afford it that smoke. They are probably that one’s that need to the most. I live in the biggest post code in Australia. So the Government used our area to trial a card for those that need support. It will not let you buy tobacco or alcohol but they find a way around that. It is kind of like we don’t trust you so use this. Australia is pretty health conscious and I only eat at places that have a healthy choice menu. I am a Diabetic so I have to know what is in my food. Someone put my diabetic injection on TV because it makes most people lose weight without dieting. Now I cannot get my medication because all of the over weight wealthy people are getting in first. It doesn’t help me lose weight, it protects my heart. Lucky I can control my diabetes’s with my diet. Again it is the poorer people that end up with sugary foods because they are cheap and filling. We do have a lot of food laws so everything must be listed in every product and they have a star rating saying how healthy something is or isn’t. Alcohol is also being taxed out of everyone’s life. Last Christmas 83% more people chose non alcoholic wines and beer. We are really good at making them, mine have no alcohol and no sugar but they taste the same my 6 pack of beer only costs $7.20 and that lasts 6 months because I have to count the carbs that turn into sugar. I can’t afford a 6 pack with alcohol even if I was allowed to drink it. We have some hefty taxes on fuel too, we are about to go on a trip to see our children. Our States were locked for over 2 years. To put the fuel In our truck to see them all will cost well over $2,000.00. This week we replaced the Government that did most of this and only took care of the rich. There is one good point about it being law to vote if you are 18 or over because we all have a choice. I gave one of my votes to the Make Cannibus Legal Party. They sounded fun and tonight they told us they think they won my area. I didn’t know we had that party until I went to vote. My main votes went to the Government that is now running Australia. He is the first Prime Minister who knows what it is like to grow up with a single mother in a Government house. We need someone who makes some sense and cares about ordinary people. We can and do hold our Government accountable.

Funny story when I went to book John after I moved to QLD I saw a poster for Deep Purple and I thought I'd book a ticket for a laugh. Loved them but they were oldies. Well let me tell you that the guitarist that was with them at the time knocked me on my head. I had been married to a musician and I knew a good guitarist.
