Itzy just made a dance cover of Pantropiko. :) Itzy is one of the idols and dream collabs of BINI, especially Mikha Also, Sheena was the one who choreographed the chorus part of this song. Speaking of teamwork, there’s a live performance of this where song some of the mics weren’t working properly. They ended up passing several mics to each other while dancing. To get to know them more, I think it’s nice to first watch BINI’s interview with “KAREN DAVILA”. You get a good introduction of each member’s background and their personalities. After that, there are tons of compilation vids online of the members just being loud & goofy & chaotic hahaha. Thank you for appreciating the low tones and register of Bini. It really is satisfying to hear them sing that low. Stacey deserves the recognition and what she brings in with the lines she is given. I think that's the challenge really with larger groups as there is only so much lines you can give people but then some smaller groups also have that where most of the song is carried by the main vocal and lead and some are given token parts but somehow with Bini even if they have some short lines it makes an impact (I'm looking at you Cherry on Top - Stacey's my presence is a present line hahaha) Maloi's hips are dangerous hahahaa it just makes be mesmerized by it. To think she is a main vocal with no designation as a dancer but she never fails to make people take notice of her skills and stage presence.

Visuals. 😍 Han is my bias. 🤭 Little Pantropiko Story: "Pantropiko" (which translates to "Tropical") was written by Angelika Sam, a 20-year-old film student and singer. It was composed during a song camp by Flip Music, a record label in the Philippines. While writing this, she was inspired by her crush and the good vibes that summer brings. No matter the season, when you feel good with your crush, it's like both of you are trapped on an island in a romantic way. "Feels like summer when I'm with you" is one of the lines in the lyrics. This song was released in November 2023, just as the Christmas season was approaching. During an interview, Colet wondered why a beachy summer song was released in winter. BINI had no idea it would explode in popularity a few months later. Sheena, the main dancer, came up with the choreography. Back then, BINI wasn't very popular. They performed in malls where people just passed by, and only 30 people showed up to their first fan meet. They even walked around the streets of Manila, giving away flyers to promote themselves. As the summer of 2024 approached, the dance and song went viral on TikTok, not just in the Philippines but also in other parts of the world. It became a summer anthem in our country, showcasing much of our culture. After all, tourists and travelers see the Philippines as an exotic getaway island. BINI's popularity skyrocketed about five months ago. Even the girls were in shock. Now, ITZY is dancing to it on TikTok too. So, "Pantropiko" was the pivotal point for BINI's recent fame.
