Personality and ideals can be twisted if you give in. Rui wanted a happy and healthy family. Muzan gave him that option and with that came power. Giving power to the one who feel weak leads to demons like these. Twisted with no purpose other than past ideals. ex: Former LM 6 was based around his love for the arts. Strong or brave people who became demons seemed better tempered. More reasonable. Akaza was strong and brave and he became the level-headed UP 3 Douma felt like he was God. He became a level-headed UP 2 Kokushibo was brave and had goals that he eventually fulfilled, he became a level-headed UP 1.

I get where you are coming from in EP 21, but I think that you expect that Muzan relates the whole deal about becoming a demon before he transforms them... I don't even know for sure, but it very much seems like they loose themselves or at least their moral compass, when they are transformed and even more after the first kill. In EP1 we saw Nezuko attacking her own brother as the first thing after becoming a demon... Now imagine Rui being transformed, then going out and killing someone... his parents discovering what he had done, but by then it was already too late... he had been warped by the demon transformation AND killing another person. Sorry, it is just that you act like he chose everything while we see Muzan clearly manipulating him.

The only thing i hated in whole reaction was that those two didn't pity rui saying that it was HIS fault for becoming or choosing to be demon but they are being stupid because I don't think muzan told rui that he will make him a demon. Maybe what if muzan just said that i will make u strong by doing this and never told him side effects and later he realised he had became a demon and then he didn't regret killing people because he got demon senses then and was only conscious about his parents. Personally, my favorite demon is rui due to his design and his special and cool power and also due to his story. I am a 12 year old and no not all 12 year olds are stupid to do what rui did as u say but i am sure rui didn't even know that muzan will make him demon, maybe he only knew it after becoming demon that what muzan has done but now due to his demon senses, he couldn't help Or control himself and only kill. As far as episode 21 is concerned the way you said you had no sympathy for for Rui I think you guys are going off of an assumption that might not be right. You said he's not worth sympathy because he chose to change but he is roughly 10 at this time and lives under messed up circumstances. How many 10 year olds are capable of making informed decisions when dealing with a shiesty individual who I'm sure didn't even tell him of the consequences of what the change would be. When you become a demon you loose your humanity and you have to eat people to get stronger they don't have a choice they can starve but they can't die by it so imagine starving to death forever. You are going to cave and try to feed. Not only that when they first turn they don't appear to have any real sense of self from what I've seen so the only thing there is the instinct and need to feed. They're starving lions and people are the zebras. I just think you guys did my man Rui wrong. Sorry for monologuing like that.

You'll never see this but the scar guy, Sanemi Shinazugawa, is actually a good guy. He lost many comrades and yelled at the Master because it seemed like he didn't care. Sanemi's little brother is the mean kid from final selection. He also had a close bond with Shinobu's sister.

He already taught him everything. It was time for him to practice. Also, he is testing Tanjiro's will to succeed. The teacher doesnt want to send Tanjiro out because he will likely die so the trainer is setting him up to fail unless he can prove his will to succeed is unstoppable. Also, Tanjiro might have hit a plateau like someone having writers block. Sometimes its best to leave them alon so they can figure out what they are doing wrong. You can only explain to someone how something works so many times. After that its on them to figure out the naunces of how its actually done and that comes through time and practice.

*Tracking* I'm self taught so not sure if this is how EVERYONE does it but: "droppings" that are fresh look a lot different than ones an hour or more old Then you look for any soft ground near by that any tracks could have been left in... if there are no tracks then it didn't go that way (most the time there isn't going to be soft ground though) either way the best thing to look for is plants spring back in to their natural position as they get unstuck from other plants (from when the animal went though the area) Plants are bendable so you're not likely going to see broken branches and such like you see in the movies... but as they are bent out of the way they get stuck on other plants nearby and slowly get unstuck over time.

The Mask that you saw from Tanjiro teacher (Urodaki), Sabiro, the little girl and also Tanjiro has purpose. For Urodaki, it conceals his identity from the demons since hes a important part of the Demon Corps. For the other 3, it protects them somehow on the first selection.

And since there are some scenes in the anime that they added after the movie, I assume for time constraints or budget reasons- I have no idea, that's also another reason to watch the anime instead of the movie.
