Isn't To. You the rock ballad one? Sorry, I'm still a bit confused on what's considered a rock ballad or not, but I just think BV is a bit fast-paced to be one. The only parts that fit the "ballad" genre to me in this song are the pre-choruses, the first verse and the first half of the second verse. The rest of the song, which is majority of it, is pretty fast and energetic. The only title track of theirs that I consider a rock ballad is Deja Vu, since pretty much 70% of it is calm and slow. Would appreciate some clarification. 🙂

@@strawberryinsomnia9188 ohh yeah I've seen someone say it's something like symphonic metal, but there are also just so many that calls it a rock ballad lol, just because it's "ballad-y" in the verses and bridge, and "rock" in the choruses, so it made me believe that it actually is a rock ballad haha.

But, kpop is known for bending, mixing and using staples from other genres to create its own identity, so, in the end they are making a ballad, but with a chonky bass in the pre chorus, some synths, a helluva drummer and more.

Legit feel like "BonVoyage" began life in a world where the Dreamcatcher members didn't renew their contracts. It FEELS like a "farewell" song, with so many references to past tracks as well as lyrics that point to phrases the members have said over the years (such as "we live under the same sky"). And of course, the title "Bon Voyage" itself and wishing InSomnias a good life in the times to come. BUT... when the members DID renew, it was too good a song to just throw out. So the bittersweet elements remain, but the lyrics are reworked to conclude the Apocalypse arc, but not with the finality of a disbandment song. But just that tiny glimpse into the world where this was the last Dreamcatcher song we ever got - even knowing that the members are going to stay together for years to come, makes it all the more devastating with each listen.

That fluffy floating creature is probably Siyeon. She sacrificed herself to protect Sua (Suayeon❤️‍🔥), so in the scene where all 7 of them walking forward, Siyeon eventually stopped walking and the fluffy creature accompany the members for her😭 Sua escaping from the exposed building without Siyeon proves this point. Also the scene Siyeon sitting in a not moving car is also a hint showing she is unable to continue the journey with the other members😢 But she's still smiling because she doesn't regret saving her love ones😭😭😭😭

Bonvogage is their BEST MV to date... I just wished Gahyeon and Handong had more important scenes, and I think Yoohyeon might have been fine with less scenes, I seriously thought she was selling her haircut because of all those unnecessary closeup after closeup after closeup of her moving her hair scenes (in my eyes that was the case) lol The rest of the girls, except Gahyeonie and Dongie, got a lot of cinematic, moving shots (one could argue Gahyeon did get more though) The most cinematic Yoohyeon got was the feather scene which was PRECIOUS

I avoided any kind of song/mv/dance spoilers as well, except the photo/poster teasers since it's unavoidable. When I first watch the MV, I just stunned standing in front of my TV for the whole song. The MV and the girls are stunning, especially Yoohyeon with that short hair is gorgeous. The video production changed quite drastically for the better and it's so soo sooo amazing! Especially the close-up shots. And the song! We get yet another side of Dreamcacther's signature sound as you mentioned and I'm all for it. I feel like it combines the best parts of some of their previous releases, especially Fly High and Deja Vu. Also just like in Deja Vu, they don't force Dami to have rap parts. Instead, we get to hear her sing more and in the seconds verse it's more like a spoken singing than rapping. After hearing the song I understand why some members said this is their favorite title track so far and i agree wholeheartedly.

I am so sorry for being so late y'all to all of your videos lately- this whole week has been INSANE but after this week/weekend I feel like it's going to be a lot more chill! DUDE this song is insane and this whole album was amazing I adored it (and I had the same reactions) and WE GOT ANOTHER WIN they should've won awhile ago but it's fine- okay JiU with that long wavy brown hair suits her so well not going to lie and her Vocals went crazy on here I just wish we had more of her, SuA is just wow her vocals went off and her dancing went even crazier again wish we got more of her, Siyeon with the lightish blue/cyan hair looks AMAZING and same thing her Vocals went insane she is the Main Vocalist for a reason, Handong with the pink hair looks AMAZING on her like holy cow I wish we got more of her as well though but she went crazy and her visuals were phenomenal, Yoohyeon was absolutely AMAZING like my gosh and her with that short hair was WOW definitely one of if not my favorite hairstyles from her and her Vocals again also were amazing, Dami with the light blue hair and bangs looks AWESOME on her and I was expecting a Rap but we got vocal Dami and I'm HERE for it, and Gahyeon I WANTED MORE FROM HER but she looked GORGEOUS with the blonde hair DEFINITELY one of my favorites from her as well and I love her soft vocals! for me, this song is the victory song of Apocalypse era, where the world regrows again with plants and animals after Maison and Vision show no sign of new life around, but the lyrics got more intimate with the joy of meeting, falling in love and hesitation because of the past mistakes, so in hopes to find the courage to embrace the new feeling, a self-discovery direction is needed to find warmth and coziness hence the drawing red circles implies, but the positive feeling is getting stronger during the journey which makes every cell in the body attracted to each other, like a longing heart for the loved ones. in a simple way, bon voyage brings you to embrace your renewed self after a safe, good trip. ps: this mv is released on my Bday!! ☑Extremely Rare Achievement Unlocked "Successful InSomnia Day"

Well, at least JiU didn't wear glasses in this, right? 😉 The members have mentioned that it is about giving nature a break, just like it can be good in a relationship to not be together all the time. Any encounter between human beings always has separation attached to it, just as death is a part of life. SuA also said that the fluffy floating thing that Dami summons from her painting is a seed. That leads my dark mind to believe that they are saying "Have a good trip" to humanity, since we are well on the way of wiping ourselves out. I could of course be wrong. Once humanity is gone, nature gets the break it needs and the circle will begin again. I can also imagine they are building an ark to take plants and animals to another planet. It would make sense with quite a lot of the scenes in the MV. As you can see, my theory is not yet perfect. I also do not know why all three titles are in French. 😉 (And why are there 3 Damis with 7 shadows...) Musically I can already say this is one of their best songs for me. The chorus slaps hard, and the variations between heavy and slow just beautiful. It has emotion and impact at the same time. We lost Leez as a producer, but the team around Ollounder did a fantastic job! And as a bass player, I can say the slap bass is crazy! I probably won't have to tell anyone that the visuals here are out of this world. I'm going to say it anyways: The members have never looked more beautiful, and the director and the visual effects team all deserve a raise!

I think the Korean word for the little creature is "cell" but that it sometimes gets translated as "seed". My idea of it is that it's a small piece of the world they're leaving behind that will become the cell/seed of new and better place.
