They are a global girl group inspired by Hip Hop and R&B. English is the #1 universal language in the world that's why the sing in english. The members are all Japanese and trained for 5 years before they debuted in march. They studied english and korean, dance, singing and rapping. Jurin is a big hip hop head. The rap line are Jurin, Harvey, Cocona and Maya. The main vocalist are Juria and Chisa, Hinata is the main dancer, visual and sub vocalist. This group was originally OT8, Hikaru from Kep1er is part of this group. She was allowed to participate in the show to get more exposured and once Kep1er disbands all members go back to their companies. When Hikaru goes back to AVEX, Simon de producer said that they will sit down with Hikaru and see if they start promoting with her.

Fun fact for this group Hikaru from Kep1er is set to join this group after her contract expires in 2 years. It’s a long ways away but I believe the company already made a statement on it and she is in some pre-debut practice videos with the girls.

@@flowergarden1354 yes unfortunately. just like IZ*ONE Kep1er is a group formed from a survival program where all the girls are from different companies and if they make the groups lineup they are signed to a 2.5 year contract to promote as a group once the contract expires they return to there agency. For example Wonyoung and Yujin from IZ*ONE were under Starship entertainment and once IZ*ONE disbanded they went back to Starship and put into the group IVE. The pros to this is that the girls get to become very popular from the survival program, then in the produced group and finally when they go back to the agency there popularity helps carry forward to another group or if they choose to be a soloist. IVE has been a group for 7 months and has 2 songs with 23 music show wins that is an insane amount of popularity which the producer group helped contribute towards. So yeah, Hikaru and the other girls will return to there original companies and the Company already made a statement that she was set to debut in XG.

Can someone please help me, I don't understand. 😭 Everyone keeps saying, "they're a global group and they're all Japanese." When I looked it up one is mixed race but all the others do seem to be full Japanese, born and raised. Are they called a global girl group because their song is completely in English? Also, would ZGirls be considered a global band as well? I think their members are from everywhere but I'm not sure what language most of their songs are in, but I do know that the ones I've heard are English. But I don't know if the language of the song has anything to do with being a global group lmfao, I'm totally guessing. Any guidance is appreciated ~

All Japanese (but one of them is mixed) but trained in Korea I guess? I heard it's a project between Korean and Japanese entertainment agencies. And as you pointed out, they sing in English. Japan, Korea, English those three things make them global I guess. Especially "two entertainment agencies from Japan and Korea produced them" is a key. Are you American, btw? (I'm just saying, Americans are very sensitive about racial things so now Disney has to make non white characters) I think "where is black girl" "where is brown girl" "should perform in more languages" "they don't perform in the US/Europe" are not necessarily to be "global" (in my opinion) Sorry I don't know about ZGirls...
