Love the LED strip, really interested to see what it will look like in the boat. And how that stove area will come together. Keep up the good work!

Hi guys ! love your project and watching your videos you're new setup is so cool and better than the original one, but you should maybe not be too regarding on details finitions because it can take sooo much time and is the kind of things that can be done later :) can't wait to see the boat navigating 🚤🚤

Hello! So glad you are liking the videos! We are at that moment when we are getting down to refinement. We were on the fence about these projects because of the time investment. But we went forward because the groves and placement made them a hassle to do later. We will definitely sort out somethings we can budget time for later on, as you are right, the details can be endless! Great feedback! Cheers!

awesome, thank you. I need to do something similar (pretty much identical) to the sliding door, for a stereo cabinet I'll be building soon. It's great to see what you did to solve the problem. I think I'll look into this. Where did you get the little "rotating hinges" from?

There is a system that already exists that uses a type of drawer rail and these hidden hinges (which are standard hidden cabinet hinges) but we went with the pins to reduce the amount of things that could break and thus replace. So if you aren’t worried about rust or breaking, look up “pocket door slide”. If you want to do it like us, we put fixed pins in one side (that were pins for holding shelves) and these index pins on the other. In your case you could probably use fixed pin on both sides and just insert the door from the back of the furniture.

@@lahakai Wow, thank you Lori. Sorry I didn't reply earlier but we had a massive storm the other day (only lasted several minutes), but blew away trees and power lines. We've been without power and phones for 4 days. Caveman stuff. Anyway, that sounds great. I'll look it up. Could be exactly what I'm looking for as I want 2 doors to do exactly what your door does. Good luck I hope it works for you.

Instead of hard wood for the slot, I would have sourced a brass or composite profile shape to accept the pins. I love elegant, complicated solutions, but simple is usually better over the long haul. The very first solution you showed, the panel secured with spring fasteners, is the way I would have gone.

Totally! We were back and forth about the practicality. Good thing with this is that we can always revert to the other design easily if needed. Thanks for the feedback! Cheers

As you say why make it easy when you can complicate it. That is the question I keep asking myself ever since you started this project.
