The only thing I would suggest is not putting the landing gear firm on the ground. Lower it until it touches, then back it up about 2 rotations. It helps, so you know the trailer won’t be sky high for coupling

Do you not need to carry out trailer condition/safety checks before coupling up in Canada? When coupled no reverse lights, break lights, side marker lights checks? Here in the U.K. we’d get marked down for those?

no, in Canada theses things don't need to be covered in coupling section.

As a Registered Evaluator and almost 50 years of experience in trucks, I began in 1976. I would give you a fail, for not knowing a lot more than what you've shown. You have a good grasp of it, but you've grown either complacent or just not knowing certain areas of hooking up. Placement of the Landing Gear, when you have air suspension on the tractor is wrong. The coupling and Uncoupling were wrong. Placement of the Airlines and Electrical cords is illegal, although in your yard you work out of, who is going to know. Your air test of the system is wrong and not held for 15 seconds. And when you spiked the trailer, to test the application of the spring brakes, I am pretty sure I heard a rush of air that would have come from the blue line (Service Line) which told me that Gladhand was not properly installed. Hearing the air from release when you took the brakes off, is not what I heard, because when you place the spike that far down, the rush of air would be very audible even from where you were sitting with the door open. As an Evaluator, and assessing your abilities, I would give you a 1-hour training session to bring you up to par. Good video, but you do need a bit of work.

Okay from the 1st 5 minutes, this lesson of uncoupling, has already failed. Stowage of the Air/Electrical, is a fail. (*Hint*-- NO Bungy-cords are allowed on the catwalk, and you did not stow the lines in the proper coupler, or holder). I am going to fast forward to the recoupling and see how you did... On your Coupling to the trailer, again a Fail. You MUST hook the lines up, and charge by pushing in the RED or Supply Line, and then pulling it out, You will hear the exhaust of the brakes telling you the system is charged and backing into is okay. **Reminder**- All Airlines and Electrical lines MUST be hooked up Before backing and they should also be the last thing you pull off when uncoupling and again Stowed properly. The trailer Must show that it will not roll backwards as you crawl under to hook up. Sorry Pal, you did not show a proper way to hook up. Don't cut corners, you will pay for it in the long run.
