I’m glad that you brought up the fact that it’s okay if Thomas wasn’t originally here just for Katie. Catherine from Sean Lowe’s season admitted that she was just there for an experience but ended up falling for him and they’re still married with children. Only one person can end up with the lead (Unless you’re Peter) and there are 25+ other contestants. There are many reasons to come onto the show. Great lifelong friendships, once in a lifetime experiences, opportunities after the season to find love (BIP and other seasons) BUT Thomas is very obviously only here for one reason and that’s fame. You need to be open to the opportunity of love with the lead even if you do have other reasons to be there.

I hated how the show allowed some contestants to talk major 💩 even to the point of saying very cruel stuff. For example, Ashley’s season. What about the show most likely knowing that in Jillians season someone who made so far had a g-friend. This show allowed plenty of shadiness to go on just to get drama on their screen.

Chris, first off, I want to thank you for your sincerity and respect when discussing the difficult topics in this episode and others in this franchise. I know it can be difficult, but you have addressed these topics with a lot of sensitivity and it’s something that I truly admire about you. On a personal note, this episode was one of the most difficult ones for me to watch personally. I was nearly in tears as Katie shared her story as we share a lot of similarities and found myself nodding in sad agreement with what she was telling. It was only in the past few months that I began to realize what happened to me in the past wasn’t right and was absolutely not my fault. For a few years I never felt right about my situation, but always put the blame on myself that I “owed it to him” and to just “suck it up.” I don’t even think he knows what he did so many times was wrong. However, I am now starting the process of healing. I applaud people like Katie who give me hope that my past is my past, but it does not define my future. I know this franchise has A LOT of issues and growth to achieve, but maybe this is a step in that direction.

I think it’s absolutely inappropriate to expect these men to expose their traumas or deepest secrets to an entire group of complete strangers. In some respects, if they get far enough, perhaps they may be called upon to divulge that information to Katie, herself, in some off-camera time. But the trauma bonding therapy session they had the gall to call a “group date” was awful. I give these men credit for participating, and what a brave thing for Katie to share but I thought it was inappropriate. No one is entitled to that kind of information. Period.

Also, what Katie shared was unfathomably difficult, and it was clear that she volunteered that information. I know personally what it takes to talk to someone (let alone almost strangers in front of a camera) about something like that. I was heartbroken and moved for her. That said, conversely, she did not share something that highlighted where she had been a bad partner the way the men were asked. Clearly, others like yourself, disagree, and that's cool. Even though there were some really heavy and real and emotional moments that truly did make the audience understand and feel for these men (and Katie!), I didn't think the way in which they were exposed was appropriate. In the end, they weren't forced to share, and clearly, some of them didn't because they weren't featured. I just wonder what kind of pressure those guys felt (like Mike C on the "GOAT" date right out the gate) to share in order to gain Katie's trust, ya know? I just asking them to do it, period, is gross.

I personally would like Micheal to be the next bachelor based on last nights episode. I liked his personality, the way he spoke, his story, the way he sees love and relationships. Of course it depends on what happens on the show but at the moment I see him as the only options from the men on the show. Just personal opinion of course.

Michelle Okay hear me out. She picks Michael. There’s that clip where she is screaming, it’s the beginning of our journey, because Michael said an engagement would be the beginning and we haven’t seen her saying it yet, only the sound byte. Also, when Katie was on Kelly and Ryan I think she said, sometimes things turn out unexpectedly (or something similar). No one expected Michael at all, especially at the beginning! Gregg is a fakeout, maybe he ends up at number two but Katie loves Michael! 🤩 if she picks Michael this is the best season ever. Katie’s already got my vote for best bachelorette so far!
