Everything changed so much. Last time I read Superman was blue hahaha. So I made a channel trying to get back into comics. It’s been fun but confusing.

I liked towards the end when Bruce makes it back to the cave, he gets a little bit of post traumatic stress when Alfred turns on the lights and the Talon suit literally scares Bruce. Alfred is one of the few people who’ve seen Bruce at his lowest, I wish they could translate the Court of Owls story to live action

I remember reading this for the first time, I was 14 at the time and this was my first real introduction into comics it FUCKING blew my mind. For years I would just read my cousins old back issues but this is the first comic that drew me in and made me follow it as it was released, and after this I've followed the DC universe ever since. I'll never forget or regret that.

When i was a kid I spent about a year growing up in the Nassau area in Texas. I would occupy myself by riding my bicycle around to various areas and - often - riding the elevators in large office buildings. It wasn't long until I discovered that, at that time at least, that nearly all buildings had a secret 13th floor where they would typically store their construction tools, certain teams would be staged there (security, facilities, etc). It's really fun to see that fact called out in the video.

Rob I love you, but there were a couple of things I think you missed; -Unlike last time where you mistook the photos of people aging on the wall, you skipped it. Which sucks, because it is awesome. -His parents don't become bats, they become owls. I would assume this is to show how much the idea of the owls killing his parents torments him. -Skipped the creepy child telling the talon to kill Bruce, so much creepin'. Other than that, I really like your idea of re-kicking the N52 off in order to make an easy to follow Rebirth playlist.

KJ Norlander that's a tough one. Dr.Doom is like the evil batman of Marvel. From his Body armor that is the equivalent to batmans belt but better. to his planing to deal with problems solving skills. I think if we just send him to mars we would win.

you know, I've always wondered about Earth 3 owlman. I can never get any more info than he is a alternate version of Batman. my question is do you think that, in earth 3, he chose to join the court, maybe became the boss, and took up the name owlman since Talon is the title for more of a hitman/subordinate sort of guy?

The Court of Owls has pervaded Batman related media throughout the 2010s, and now it is getting a mainline video game appearance from rocksteady studios. The famous creators of the Batman Arkham series are doing their take on The Court of Owls, in wake of Operation: Knightfall at the end of Arkham Knight. I am reminded of the League of Assassins when I hear about the Court of Owls, mostly because I first heard of them in the animated film Son of Batman. While Damien does appear in the original story, that film did NOTHING to cover how pervasive, unnatural, and sadistic this rival assassin clan really is. In real life, I went to a university where owls are the symbol of knowledge, fellowship and tenacity... but my loyalty concerning night creatures in Gotham has always been with the bat.

Definitely one of my favorite stories from the New 52. My other favorite characters from the New 52 were Animal Man and Swamp Thing, their stories were amazing! Even though getting a lot of good acclaim, it wasn't enough to dig new 52 out of the hole, lol Hope you're able to cover those stories one day!

You forget that superman is actually super smart. He's smarter than batman and lex luthor but is only hindered by wanting to always stay as a symbol of hope. Superman has out tricked a 5th Dimensional Imp... who has literally god powers as well as an understanding of higher dimensions of which we cannot even comprehend. Batman: The Court of Owls in my opinion, is brilliant storytelling. Of course it demonstrates Batman's effectiveness in physical "altercations" with villains' and crooks... but also how great a detective Batman is. This book really gets into his thinking process and sponge-like memory and how he can easily and logically connect dots. His multi-disciplined approach to fighting crime is on full display in this book! Snyder, Capullo, Glapion and team... are truly gifted artists and knocked it out of the park!
