One royal aide revealed in the book that dealing with Harry and Meghan was like dealing with "teenagers."

I think it ironic that Harry didn't want to meet with William because he was worried the conversation would be leaked. However, Harry has told the world about every conversation and incidents of importance that have happened within the royal family. At least his version of the conversations and incidents, which I believe are skewed since Harry's version of events are delusional or narcissistic. If he does not get his way then he throws a temper tantrum and blames his actions on everyone else. I don't believe most of what he wrote. It's completely over the top. Some of what he wrote was completely ridiculous, like Megan getting an epidural and then two hours later being home with the baby. That is a flat out lie. Camilla's family was from the heart of the English aristocracy. It's true that their marriage would have been blocked had Charles proposed to her (which he didn't), but her family credentials were impeccable and had nothing to do with it. The real reason was jockeying for position by several influential aristocratic families about which of their own daughters or granddaughters could get a look in. The Spencer family won out in the end.

what stands out is that the royal family have had problems with harry for a very long time, going back to when even Diana indicated she encouraged him to be outrageous, and although they tried to help him by putting him in rehab and in therapy and they hoped when he joined the army he might develop some focus and make a career of it but that didn't happen because apparently he couldn't pass the exams required for advancement. They hoped marriage would settle him down, but everyone in his circle knew his problems and issues. So now harry is still that confused, misdirected ,adolescent little boy living inside an adult body, and it looks like he will continue to remain so for the rest of his life. And it also looks like he will continue to feed off his title and royal background and say whatever he wants about his family as long as he gets paid for it. The Queen said no to a tiara she wanted to wear because it was given to Eugene to wear for her wedding that had to be held so that H&M could have their wedding. The family started getting complaints from staff of bullying from MM, including bullying of Charlotte. All this has not been confirmed but it's out there. Concerning the other book (sorry) the reason they claim large numbers of sales is because everyone who preordered Spare received two copies. This means that the real sales numbers are half the published number.

Many believe that Meghan has written most of the book. It's told in her tones and Harry had swallowed Meghan's story for truth when Meghan really doesn't know the truth about most of the things she thinks she does.

Prince Harry’s personal problems are a sad distraction from why monarchy is helpful, in general (since Elizabeth II's death there has not been much thought about why she matters). Since the 1700s, the British monarchy has been a huge, tangible power for peace in the world. This achievement should become clear in comparison with the histories of other countries. In the 19th & 20th centuries the U.S.A, France, Germany, Russia, Italy, Spain and Greece suffered in various ways civil wars, political storms, and dictatorships. This shows what can go wrong in the absence of a head of state which is above politics, and which opposes illegal dictatorship. If there are many reasons England, Wales, and Scotland have had no civil war since Culloden in 1746, having a constitutional monarchy to unify all the people is an important reason. In the UK, 'peace' in formal speech is "The King's Peace". The monarchy is separate from the organs of government. It was not Baldwin's fault Edward VIII chose to abdicate, nor is it fair to blame the monarchy for the Amritsar massacre in India, the Black & Tans in Ireland, or any of the mistakes British rule made in the world. The great value of the monarchy is to provide unity and stability in a way politicians can’t. Canada & Australia were given self-government under the British crown, and they have avoided secession and civil war (so far). Of course King Charles III's marriage to Diana was a tragic mistake; the failure of Princess Anne’s & Prince Andrew’s marriages show Prince Philip & Elizabeth II made mistakes as parents; Philip could be publicly tactless. Whatever mistakes the royal family have made, let us be grateful for the unity the monarchy gives. By stabilizing Britain & the commonwealth, it promotes peace in the world. The sea around it didn't protect the U.S.A. against civil war in the 1860s, and the UK could have suffered civil war over slavery in the 19th century; likewise over world war, loss of empire, economic failure, or race in the 20th. There will always be political violence and problems in the world, and billions of people who know or understand nothing of the British monarchy and the stability it brings. Since the 1700s, billions of people have lived under the British crown without civil war, lynching, dictatorship in their lives. God save King Charles III, and his successors.

Hold on! I respect the monarchy today, but I'm an American, and England waged two wars against my country. One in 1776 and the other in 1812. They also had unwanted control in the countries that became the Commonwealth. It may have looked like peace, but . . .

No, seriously; I'm a pro monarchy, patriotic Britisher and even I can't swallow that. It's had it's ups and downs, but it's mostly done it's job of supporting unity both for us as a nation and for others with us whether they wanted it or not.
