The reason for her not releasing anything is due to the record company I trying to make her go in a direction that she didn't even want hence she is independent artist now and is now reliant on her fan's to download the song (99c) on all platforms

You don't know how glad I am to see you do this! For the last three years my favorite thing on KZbin was reactions to Courtney's AGT audition, and yours was one of my very few favorites out of about a hundred I've seen. This is so much more important though. It's her first official release of an original song, her first concept video, and her first release as the independent artist she was always meant to be. Her next song, That Girl Don't Live Here, drops April 7 and she'll be releasing about a song a month until her debut album, so stay tuned! Thank you so much for this! I watch a lot of reactions but yours are special.

It's great to see you reacting to Courtney again, or, as you could call her, Janice Joplin 2.0. But she is way more than that to me. When she sings rock, she sounds like a rock star. The same goes for Gospel, Pop, Jazz, Contemporary...etc, she is so adaptable. Why there has not been that much from her in the last few years is because she was under contract, and the industry was holding her back, and trying to mould her into another generic pop princess. She is now an independent artist, and free to forge her own path. The reason why her first release was this melancholy song was her articulating the problems she had with the industry, and with COVID lockdowns and the like. But the way she has done it, almost everyone can relate to it, with the lyrics and emotion that pours from her soul. She is a real vocal artist, and way more than any record label would try to stifle. On April 7th, she is going to release her next song 'That Girl Don't Live Here', and apparently, it is going to be a real banger. I cannot wait for that one to drop.

Hi Faith. Nice reaction. You've reacted to enough Courtney videos to at least have an idea as to how versatile Courtney is vocally. She can sing everything from Rock to R&B, Funk, Soul and Ballads and not loose a bit of the incredible quality of her sound and music over any of them. It really shouldn't have been a surprise that this wasn't an uptempo rock song. Courtney sings a broad spectrum of music and is equally great in each of them, which is quite rare. A true once in a lifetime talent. 'Breakable' is an amazing debut original single by Courtney. This is both her first original released as well as her first release as an independent artist and she just hit a home run. Her vocals soar in this incredible song, the lyrics are an emotional gut punch and the fabulous video just reinforces all of the emotion contained in this song visually. After years of fighting to release the music that she loved and having labels try and twist her into something she didn't want to be, Courtney finally decided to go it on her own. In a true testament to her, she achieved in two months, what the labels couldn't do in years. Everybody needs to get out and stream/watch this fabulous song. It is a masterpiece. Everyone has been burnt by someone or something in their lifetime, so this song will be relatable to so many people on a personal level. No one can touch your soul when she sings like Courtney and it feels like she is having a one on one conversation with your heart in this song. You haven't reacted to Courtney for a while, but buckle your seat belt. Now that she's in control of her own music, it was said to expect a release approximately every month. So I expect you'll be doing a good number of Courtney reactions going forward. Courtney has a huge song library that she has built up over the last few years. Probably enough for multiple albums. She has shared a good number of them, in whole or in part, with her fans, mostly over live chats on social media and they've been sensational. Can't wait to see you reacting to all of Courtney's original music. Her next release, which is a fantastic uptempo song called 'That Girl Don't Live Here Anymore' will drop on Apr 7th and is already available for pre-save. So keep on the look out for that one.

A little background history. Courtney never disappeared. The pandemic put a temporary stop to most of what she was doing. Courtney entertained her fans on her social media both with great covers and some of her own material. She got a record deal with Simon Cowell. But he sold his company. So Courtney got a new company where she was for a while. It ended with betrayal and broken promises. I think they wanted her in a special niche. But it's not Courtney. Courtney should be set free, let her go her own way. That's where she's at her best. Therefore now she has come out as an independent artist. The song "Breakable" is a bit about what has happened in recent years. A fantastic song that many can relate to. And as you said yourself "everything has changed". And you can clearly see that in her new song, which will be released on April 7. "That Girl Don't Live Here"

She has been silent due to the lockdown in Europe. Second has been waiting for her contact at Syco, Arista so she can do her thing instead of covers if I followed correctly. I know she's independent now. She went to the US last year to write with other writers and do recordings. Breakeble is the first in a series. There would normally be a new issue every month and the next one is on April 7th. Greetings from Belgium

Yep, that 15 minutes of fame goes quick. Courtney was a bit young to fully capitalize on her AGT success,, the Woodstock 50 Festival fell through, then Covid hit. Simon Cowell also sold Syco music label to Sony in late 2020. There was to be a second set of 4 covers released associated with Woodstock 50 that were cancelled. Covid caused at least a two year delay.

Her experience with the record company is largely responsible for the sentiment behind this song and the reason we have heard so little from her in this time. One of the reactors cautioned the companies to NOT try to squelch her (which is what happened- please see the next video). She is now an independent artist with a strong musician helping her get started. This is a fantastic first video and a great way to get her started in the right direction. Thank you Faith! I really like your reactions (even though they get a little long at times). It is 2024 and she has promised her first album this year.

Hi, a very realistic, rather disappointed reaction to this song. I think Courtney - in the end - didn't care about the reactions at all! She wanted to tell/settle a part of her fledgling history/past, knowing that together with Kevin she succeeded in writing a great song. It was also for me a surprising return of Courtney with an unusual great song/lyric adapted to her emotions. Greetings from Germany ps: I see her as the rock queen of this decade
