Dude! you speak RIGHT ON!!! Here is a 14 year old who is not wasting her time on a cell phone yapping with her friends or running the streets getting into all manner of troubles. She is some one with a dream and is not afraid of pursuing it! How can adults sit safely behind their keyboards , hiding behind anonymity and talk all kinds of smack about some one trying to follow her dream? I've read these Key Board Commandos say that shes not a "singer" but a Screamer, well, Janis was a screamer, and she is still an icon. I have one question for them, What where YOU doing at 14? And where has it lead YOU? Just because your dreams or ambitions were never fulfilled, don't try to knock down some one else who is trying to make her's come true, stew in the bitterness of your own failings, leave others to go their own path! Check out some of the videos of her. she also does ballad and has a really pretty voice for them as well. She can do it ALL. My prediction? she will be selling out stadiums before the year is through. AND those stadiums will be full of people who are tweenies to seniors, all races. I haven't seen musical originality since February 9, 1964 when The Beatles appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show. Like The Beatles, her music sounds incredibly fresh and fresh is exciting. I can't help watching her videos over and over; I'm just amazed by her. She said she wants to be a rock star; well she already is but she just doesn't know it yet. Hey when I was growing up in Watts California. We had rock and roll, r and b, country, jazz and blues to listen to. Today, you have off shoots of those forms and styles and names for them, I guess there's going to be a new name added to the list cause this girl fits into a few but not really of all the performances by her only one that she had didn't hit me like the rest of them. PYT by MJ, I never thought anyone would come up one that would mash-up with it but her original PYT does just that. So she has R&R R&B Combined a new form ( Rocsoul) can we say that I don't know what you would say as for me I like what she does, I don't care if you don't cause I like it. Her first song on American tv,was a rock version of a R&B song to hot to handle and she Rocked it, if you're hating on her or her own music than your not a fan, but don't bring her down for doing good music, she isn't trying to be something she's not. I think that we have a chance to see the rise of new music style which is what happens when things evolve as artist maintain creative control of their music as seen with previous singers in the past.
