I had Cataract repair surgery 4 months ago. They removed my very cloudy lenses and replaced them with optical implants. I went from going blind to having the best vision in my life all without glasses. Good vision is gift that we should not take for granted.

I had PRK done in 2002, it was quite painful and uncomfortable after the meds wore off. 15 years later one of my eyes needed a touch up and i was able to have Lasik done. Much better experience.

Actually the beauty of building in a container is it is a global standard module. You can find similar container delivery services pretty much anywhere because of this. I think this is what makes container houses/data-centers/etc such a cool item - they are mobile. You could take that house, get it onto a cargo boat, to anywhere in the world and delivered. Surprised you didn't move it to the top of the mountain in Idaho ;)

It is always fun having a conversation when one party is just a little loopy, I hope you are well and didn't have a med hangover. On one of your trips down or back cross over at Biggs and come up the Wash side. Traffic is light and there is a nice rest stop halfway (Sundale) that the Dogs will love (a boat ramp so they can swim). We drive Spok. to Sacto. a time or 2 a year.

The most painful thing I have experienced! But I had some residual astigmatism that I wanted to get taken care of. I forgot how bad it was and was very glad I only had to do one eye!

Really looking forward to seeing what your workshop/house will look like. I'm getting to a point where I'm able to buy or build a house and the idea of a giant workshop with a small apartment has been flying around for a while now. Two boys instead of two dogs makes it a bit more complicated, as does the insane housing market where I live. It has to make financial sense as well, ie. grow in value, and that might be the most complicated part of the whole deal.

After the past few years of working out of a 2 car garage and mostly in a driveway the thought of having a shop makes us SO excited! The appreciation and marketability of one doesn't make sense in a lot of places, but it does seem in Idaho there is more of a demand for that type of structure.

I`m glad you eye is getting better. That was a nice trailer that guy used to pick up your mini house, which was also very nice. You two are doing it right, as far as getting debt free and building as you go. If you had your own construction company, it would take all your time. The channel must give you enough to servive with comfort. I can`t wait to see what materials you use and the style and size of the shop-house. Don`t forget to put in at least one very tall overhead door. I also incorperated 3 hoist points in the trusses and insulated real well for the heat and ac. The thing i regret not putting in is anchor points in the concrete floor. I should have put in one at each corner and one on each side one in front and back. That way you can secure anything to work on or pull in any direction. A walk in pit or car/truck hoist is a must, my opinion. Don`t forget a large deck off the living quarters to enjoy the view. Take care

A hoist system in the ceiling is a great idea! Especially because I don't think a forklift is going to be in the budget for quite awhile. Anchor points in the floor is something I would have never considered but that is such a great idea! I am very much looking forward to the point where we have a deck and can enjoy the sunrises.

I had PRK done in 2007, I was able to read the thermostat across the room without glasses as soon as they were done. I spent most of the next 5 days with a pair of goggles so I wouldn't rub my eyes, rotating bags of frozen peas to numb the pain and sleeping. I started needing readers in 2020, but that's just normal age stuff. You'll really enjoy your new eyes after the lava sand and needles subside.

Canadian here. Cool videos and life. I chuckled that about the "only in the USA" comment re: the side lifter crane. Best check some European, Australian,South African, South American and Asian equipment. Our equipment in Canada is mostly from the US but there is a larger world of awesome technology out there.
