1999 Aus vs WI series was in my opinion the greatest test series I have seen, even ahead of 2005 Ashes. We Australians always had a huge regard for Ambrose, Walsh and of course Lara. All three greats of the game who you could never rule out that they could steal victory from you.

Nah. WI were never booed in Australia, even when we were top dogs. In fact, the only places Brian Lara has ever been booed have been in the West Indies: sabina 1999, the second innings of the Bridgetown test that followed and Bourda in guys in 2003 vs the Aussies again. I've seen India skittled out for just 36runs in a test,yes 36 and England too under 50 I think and WI were out for 47 against PK in Sharjah. I'm sure they are others. Chicago bulls is not the same now that MJ and the others are not around but if you see the stands when they are playing ...that's called support and fans and they don't even make playoffs. This has to be one of the top 5 test matches in the history of the sport. Brian Lara and Steve Waugh scored their runs against pace bowling of the highest order. All the protagonists in this match(with the exception of warne) who turned out to be(in the case of ricky ponting) or already were greats of the game, had an exceptional match. That doesn't happen in test cricket very often
