Those top-of-the-outfield-wall catches happen a lot more often than most people realize. You seem to be pretty knowledgeable about baseball. That's really impressive because it can be a more complicated sport than a lot of fans want to admit. I remember the first time I took the woman who would later be my wife to a baseball game. She wasn't a sports fan at all and I figured I would be spending the entire game explaining everything that had happened. But she surprised me by her solid understanding of the game. She saw how confused I was, so she told me she had actually played little league baseball when she was a kid!! It was the only sport she really liked.

She says she loves sports, she lives in Japan, and baseball is pretty big in Japan, so it makes sense she would know the sport.

Yes ma'am! Baseball is my sport. I'm glad you seem to be appreciating it. Some folks say it's too slow. Those folks haven't learned to love pitching and defense. To us baseball fans, a one to nothing game that was pitched nearly to perfection is just as exciting as a slugfest that winds up fifteen to fourteen.
@drchapman65013 жыл бұрын
Baseball is still my favorite sport. People who complain that baseball is too slow are hypocrites. Those same people will sit and watch a football game for 4 hours that is designed for 2 hours of actual playing time. So I turn off the TV when a football game has been on for 2 1/2 hours. That is all the time I care to commit to a single football game.

Yeah, these guys are incredible. As you can imagine, these guys are in unbelievably physically fit. They play 162 games a year so they play pretty much every day for 6 months in our warmer months from April through October. This game take a lot of hand and eye coordination to do all that. Baseball is one of my favorite sports to watch. I’m glad you enjoyed that.

Part of the fun of MLB is when the players come off the bench and fight. Entire teams get into it. It's hilarious. Find THOSE videos. Also, find some old video of the late, great Earl Weaver, who used to manage the Baltimore Orioles. He has since passed away but he was one of the most hilarious managers in the game - he'd get into shouting matches with the umpires, kick dirt on their shoes, yada yada, and he got thrown out of the game something like 96 times. Funny as hell.

There's a couple of them out there for sure, but if you can, try and find a highlight reel for outfielder Kevin Pillar. He's currently with the Boston Red Sox, but a lot of highlights out there will show him from his time with the Toronto Blue Jays. I'm a Jays fan, and even though he was traded just last year, I still miss him.
