Been living in my own house 2,800 square foot house 4 of land. Back when I was living at home from 18-27 I had 4 different relationships and dozens of hook ups. From. 27-31 I've only had 2 hook ups and no relationships. While a few of my couch surfing bum buddies have girlfriends. Modern broads are attracted to trash. End of story

Being single does have some benefits. Here's the summary folks: 1) Enjoy your hobbies (or try out new ones) 2) Prioritize physical fitness (staying healthy is good, but it's better to become healthier) 3) Join a club and meet new people (don't forget about the friendships you currently have) 4) Learn something new (skills, musical instruments, languages, etc.) 5) Get your money right (financial independence and stability are key because inflation is a pain these days) 6) Establish goals, priorities, and healthy habits (This allows you to better focus on who you want to be, and process the qualities you look for someone when you choose to enter the dating scene) Here are a few items that I will add to the list: 1) Travel (It's cheaper to pay for one ticket than two) 2) Improve your mental health and personal attitude (Life can be emotionally draining at times, so make sure you keep emotions in check) 3) Take care of your skin 4) Take care of your hair (sorry if you are bald)

I am proud to realize I am already prioritizing all of these things. If I had any additional suggestion it would be to use the period of life in which you feel alone to engage in spiritual seeking, whether religious, philosophical, or strictly personal. I think being single is the easiest time to cultivate awareness in regards to your world view and that ends up being important when finding a partner. Loneliness itself can actually be the catalyst for self realization if you embrace it.

Yes but what if you already know that path about yourself, your logos and meaning in life and have a route plan of what to do. I discovered my virtues and values through philosophy. But I want someone to make my life easier so I can make theirs too. I feel I’ve been doing this thing “working on yourself” since 17 and I am 20 now but I think that is enough. That said working on yourself is not a guarantee you’ll get a partner but it gets you “closer” but not too me lmao

Courtney, if I listened too all the women in my life about where I can or can't approach women I would only be left with bars, clubs, and dating apps -- funnily enough it's where women receive the most attention. So there's nothing wrong with meeting women at the gym, grocery store, retail store, etc.

My suggestions: 1. Please stay away from alcohol, tobacco or any other addictive substances. 2. Prioritize physical fitness (no excuses) 3. Stay away from sugar, sweets and soft drinks. 4. Be financially independent (live within your means) 5. Take care of your teeth and skin. 6. Bath daily and manscape. 7. Keep your wardrobe simple yet stylish. 8. Learn proper table manners. 9. Stop using foul language even if it's warranted. 10. Make your bed, keep your kitchen and bathroom clean.

I also want to say I subscribed! This is so wonderful you are doing this. I have relationship trauma and I let it get really toxic in the last one. Done everything I could before we finally separated forever. Of course I have ADHD depression and stomach trouble, but I used to be a chain smoker in stress.[now I've been 1 in a half year without a cigarette] I used to be in that bad crowd until I woke up to the insanity. I became a born again christian. Have been repenting for pornography use and lustful temptation just being so lost with why I crumbled in it for so long. Why couldn't I ever find a women that has faith in Jesus? A women that is not narcissistic and gives into the evil pride! Some men really do fall into a trap and that is for sure how I feel at times. I'm alone but I have god #1 first thing, and I have the gift of creating with sound(My Hobby). With these things I do not fear anything but am aware there is probably a 1% out there that is dying to be with me and understands me. But I don't force it, I just wait for it to come in god's time, and if there is no woman for me. So be it. I just believe I can't change myself for someone else. I'm not going to get in a relationship until I am fully healed and ready. Which could be in a few years. We really shouldn't rush it. But women don't pop up to me like they used to, mainly because most of them come off as sexually immoral, all of the good women are already taken.. SO that leaves me with the hope in my 27 year old life, I still have plenty of time to find her 🙏

What a coincidence that we post videos on the same day, each on our own channel as well 😉😊🙃🙂. I agree with what you have told there Courtney, cause all of these things are true, and like you have told it can apply to either men, and women. I can share some of my experiences when meeting new people. I had a chance to meet one person from Japan that was making one model kit. And that model kit (or mock up; call it whatever you want) what that person assembled I have liked, and I also like the way how he putted that much details, and effort on doing that model kit. We have done the meeting via You Tube, a couple of years ago. The person had a struggle to find the decals (the decals are some kind of stickers, for those who don't know what are decals), and I said I have them. In return the person asked me what I want in return. I asked for one little model kit that I don't have in my collection. And we help each other. Also we have subscribed to each others channels. The best anti stress therapy is doing model kits. It can really solve those 4 reasons that you have mentioned. Also playing music instruments can be good hobby as well. I like playing guitar (acoustical, and electric guitar as well), and doing model kits (and my channel is dedicated to the model kits hobby; you can visit it if you are interested), like I have mentioned it a couple of times. Also that person from Japan taught me some techniques about the model kits. Beside's meeting the person from Japan (in this case man), I had a chance to meet on social media some women that are enjoying doing model kits. All of these things can mostly help you two things. And those are: 1. To be yourselves in a healthy way; 2. And to be with the person and with people who give you support. I remember that I saw one quote that goes like this (someone can correct me if I made a mistake): "Don't give up on your goals. You have no idea who are you inspiring."

@@Bloodcurling You stop with the hating comments, and stop insulting him. If you are so lazy to read what he has written, or to do any of these things, then that is your problem. It's not the problem of this person who write's these comments, and it's not the problem of other people to listen to you. He gives support to either men, and women, and also he is giving a hope to people that are behaving normal. Also he thinks before typing any comments at all. If you consider that you have a problem that you want to share with writing down hate comments. Otherwise find a psychiatrist, or one person that can help you with your problems, and issues. OK? And also one other thing. If you attend to back off or not support him, or even to put dislikes, well I'll have to say one thing. You're doing quite the opposite. Gents, one thing that I have learned in my life is that friendship for us, true friendship (not the guy who you chat with at the bar every time you see him, or spot each other at the gym), TRUE friendship for us only comes through mutually shared adversity/accomplishment/shared triumph or failure. Your true friends don't always need words, but they always will know your insinuations. Guys in the military, sports teams, high competitive environments, brutal workloads, physically punishing jobs all know exactly what I'm talking about

You hit it right on the head with the hammer... I enjoy and am pursuing all of these things. Staying on point with ones self will possibly attract the right partner. But from my experience there too many women that believe themselves to be said partner and once a man has ran into or interacted with enough of these women they tend to remain focused on themselves and living their lives. Not completely leaving women out of the picture but not taking anything serious and just focusing on the most basic needs when it comes to women. I'm no player by no means, I'm actually somewhat conservative but not unwilling to be free if you get me, and for some reason I've been told that I am really handsome. I personally don't agree, I'm not ugly or anything but there's just another factor when trying to let some one in your life. These modern day societal adjustments that men have to make to not be single kind of make it not worth the effort.

I think this is the problem for a lot of people. I may need to stop being so rigid on some of my personal rules, like "don't date coworkers. Do not pursue coworkers under any circumstances. Be wary about making friends with coworkers." I am realizing for most people in their 30s probably their coworkers are majority of the people they even are around other than family. There's almost something dystopian to that and I am realizing why people are isolating and alienated. I think that all the protected language crap has been making workplaces even more covertly hostile and alienated than ever before though.

Hang in there, and don't be so hard on yourself - it sounds like you've had a challenging stretch in your life over the last few years. It also sounds like you're an introvert and that you're feeling a lot of pressure to socialize against your own wishes, embrace your love of being home alone and enjoying the peace & quiet, and the freedom to chase any interest you have the means for. If you aren't interested in going out, then don't, and don't let anyone make you feel like a worse person for it. If by chance you're worried about being interesting to others, lean into your hobbies and interests, and any judgment towards them be damned. Our extrovert-crazy society creates a lot of unnecessary pressure, when those of us who prefer enjoying the space we have at home creates more contentment for us. I think it's perfectly normal that making friends gets more difficult as we age. We get set in our ways. The opportunities are fewer because we're no longer in school, and for many of us, we work remotely, so our exposure to strangers is rarer. Our interests start to diverge and solidify. Find peace in the friends you already have, and invest in those friendships first.

While this may be great information many of us have been doing these things for years and are wealthy yet we still go years single to the point it's really concerning and I especially worry for my son and the future of society. Its to the point many guys are so frustrated they snap doing things nobody should ever do. Many have taken thier own life from the loneliness. i do appreciate your efforts to help men. God help us please. 🙏

Good video Courtney. I think you covered many important points. Single men (and women) should focus on developing interesting/remarkable lives and not worry so much about dating. Date yourself. Take care of yourself. Develop yourself. Go on your own adventures. Just have fun! Chances are…. If you are busy enjoying life, you’ll eventually meet someone that vibes with you. And if not….. so what. Life is short. Enjoy it while you have it.

I didn't watch the video so I am going to guess. 1. Start making at least 250k a year 2. If you are not 6' tall, look into surgery to make you so. 3. Read " The 5 love Languages " and learn how to apply all of them at the same time. 4. Throw all of existing clothes away and spend at least 5k on a new wardrobe. 5. Consult with a sex therapist to learn how to please a woman in bed. 6. Start saving for a G-Wagon so it can be a birthday present for your next LTR. How did I do? Comment below!

Hi Courtney! Just want to say that I’ve watching your videos for a month now. I follow your advice but honestly my biggest problem is that I’m a major introvert. I really want to talk to women but the fear of rejection and humiliation is always there. It’s been like that my whole life. I’m getting older and I don’t want to be alone. Sometimes I do lose sleep over it.

Where do you work? If you have a good number of co-workers, try talking to them. Build on that. If you are at a store, restaurant, etc. Try making small talk with the employees. Ask questions that can't be answered with a single word! Hope this helps

@dgwaters I see. It's a good place to practice talking to people, even if it's just work related talk. Just keep trying to talk to more people, step by step. I am an introvert myself. I work as a security guard. At first, I had a hard time talking with someone. Many years later, it's not a problem for me. Been there man! It's definitely one of those things, practice makes perfect!

Always keep In mind that there is nothing wrong with singleness. If you aren’t content with being single for a season, you won’t be content in a relationship.
@PaperRaines
@PaperRaines Жыл бұрын
I've never agreed with that, you're completely different single than you are in a relationship, and some people legitimately like being in a couple. What I will submit tho is people should be aware of where they are in life and figure out what it is they want: When you're single, you're in perpetual opportunity. When you're in a relationship, you're in perpetual security. It's one, or the other. Your girlfriend isn't an opportunity anymore, you have her, but people like opportunities in and of themselves, even when they have things that they want already. And opportunity is obviously great, it's exciting, you don't know that's going to happen next, but you're not secure in anything. And if you want to *feel* safe in that way, an opportunity won't provide that In my observation, unhappy people are A.) not aware where they are on that binary, B.) not aware that binary exists, and C.) don't like where they are and want to be in the other. Ie., people in relationships want to look around, and single people wish they were in relationships. And they're perpetually in one phase and wanting to be in the other one

@@PaperRainesokay so what’s your point then? Quit jumping around, we get it, when I was dating my ex she caught guys always staring at her or other girls who were already married while out with their wives and even kids, people already have what they want yet want more, while those who struggle to find a girl have to be “content being alone”? I also don’t agree with that crap, that’s more mentally taxing than anything and when you say fuck it I’ll take it into my own hands and try, then you get rejected and a guy can only take so many of those before he just loses himself entirely.

I’ve spent decades getting to know myself, I see no evidence that it attracts anyone. There are plenty of dolts out there with zero interest in knowing themselves that have no problems with dating. If you’re not an object of desire no one cares about how well you know yourself.

Hey Courtney, a fun idea for a video would be critiquing “This is Why I’m Single” by Your Favorite Martian (here on KZbin). It would be a bit of a sillier video, but you could go over all the things the characters are doing wrong in dating. You might get a kick out of it.

Boys, take it from someone older: NEVER let anyone talk down on your hobbies, because they're much greater than the sum. Example, WH40K players are super nerdy, sure.....but I also see people who have the time and money to dedicate to what they love (believe me, it can be EXPENSIVE). You have people who know the stories behind their armies, the lore, they paint each single one by HAND. Tell me that isnt a person who doesn't enjoy their hobby.

Basically what she is saying is that all single men should stay busy. Well not everyone is a type A personality. This is not for me. The money thing is subjective. It depends on what kind of lifestyle you want to live. As for friends I think buying a friend lunch every 6 months is good enough. I'm not willing to contribute more than that. I also don't believe in making friends in the workplace.

Courtney does explain that "the money thing" doesn't simply mean being rich, it means being independent and responsible with your finances. If you have enough to meet your needs, then you have enough, but it's good advice to make a point of being in control of your finances, not constantly be in debt or dependent on others to fund our chosen lifestyle, not spend recklessly in a way we can't really afford etc, that's all just sensible advice that applies equally to men and women, single or couples.
