@PoeticJustice I'm sorry you feel that way but it's not even close. Embiid might have the slight advantage in a couple statistical categories but Joker dominates the rest of them including steals, assists and his advanced metrics just to name a few. And he does it all with a smile on his face and not a single word about "im the MVP". He's honest, humble and funny. 90 first place votes to 5. That should tell you all you need to know. But no, "Joel is MVP. Jokić is second."?!? Come on man! I havnt even mentioned the fact that Embiid keeps ducking Joker, even in the Allstar game and was out 18 or more games this season alone while his team won and stayed in first during those games. You know what would happen if Joker was out for 18 games? Nuggets would most certainly lose a lot of those games because the entire offense is ran thru him. Embiid doesn't have that responsibility or skill. I dont even know why I'm bothering to respond to you on this.. I guess it just irks me...but just know, Embiid is great and had an excellent year. I know that. But jokić is the clear-cut MVP and it's not close right now. Straw poll proves what the experts around the world think. Now it's time for you to do your homework OR just keep thinking it's embiids which is your opinion. Unfortunately its just wrong.🤣
@gicueN17R03 жыл бұрын
@PoeticJustice clearly wrong huh?? Not sure where you found that one out. Those are season stats pre injury! After going 24 games with a 17-7 record, and averaging 30.6 points, 11.2 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.3 blocks per game. Embiid got hurt obviously but he always does, just like he always finds a reason not to play Jokić. In the 10 games Embiid missed to knee injury they went 7-3 without him. Maintained 1st place and didn't skip a beat so don't give me a smart a$$ comment about having no clue what I'm talking about. You're the one who should do the research PJ! Plus jokers BPM at 11.9 puts him having one of if not THE best seasons EVER over Jordan and LeBron with 41 games with 8+bpm(10+ is Jordan/Lebron area). 14 more than second place Giannis. Embiids ranked 11th with 19 games, less than half of jokić. He lives in his own stratosphere when it comes to the stats, advanced metrics and he beats in most or loses by a point or % point in the main categories. Also 15 triple doubles and 50 double doubles this season alone crushing the competition. He doesn't need to get on ESPN or the radio or interviews saying "im the mvp", he does it like he's been there before and with nothing but kindness and a smile. Embiids a great player but has NOTHING on Jokić this year unless something happens to Jokić and even then missing the rest of the season, it would be tight. And that's Joel's only prayer. Kobe saw all of this coming. Two years ago he told Jokić he would be the MVP. Why is everyone (outside of the recent worldwide straw poll that also had jokic dominating embiid by 568 points) having such a hard time with this? Why? You have to be smart because? He's your guy? Seriously. What's the issue here and tell me again how I'm wrong or how Embiid deserves it more. I'd love to hear it. Because like I said. For every stat or adv. stat u have, I have 5 more for Jokić. Have some respect. You don't have to like him or the nuggets but you can and should respect the man's incredible season just like I do with Embiid. What's so hard? Need to grow up a little maybe? I dunno. But your short comment said a lot!

@@jorgethegreat That is sooo incorrect. Masai got a job in Toronto in 2007, ten (10) years before Nurkic was traded to Portland. The brains behind this genius decision is Tim Connelly! He is the one that rolled the dice with 2 round pick No. 41 and shipped a very good Nurk in order to free minutes for Jokic. He did equally outrageous move by letting Grant go in order for MPJ to flourish. Tim deserves not only a massive raise, but a monument in Denver. You might think that conditions you for physical basketball. Having two older brothers kick your ass on the court for a few years will condition you for the Navy Seals. Sink a shot through contact? I don't think Nikola would consider it normal to get to the basket without catching some bruises along the way. 😂👏🏀🏇 Horse racing ain't a cheap man's sport! Couldn't be happier for a cooler dude to make it. No doubt he's set up his family for life and he's got G leagues and gyms built for training Serbian youth to become great ball players. Maybe thats why they surrounded Nikola which so much love and security

@@CourtsideTV1 Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn’t Darko only 18 with limited experience away from home, with Detroit being about the most non-European place to end up. With massive criticism about his being drafted so high. With watching videos about Darko it kind of sounds like all this made him doubt himself, be homesick and maybe even become become clinically depressed

@@CourtsideTV1 Like 18 year olds do not have enough life experience to not have these things mess with their heads without a lot of support. A 28 year old knows enough to know that people can be full of shit and how to deal with these things, but 18 year olds trust adults and adults seeming to always gang up on the 18 year old and blame the 18 year old, can seriously mess up their head for a long, long time.

@@CourtsideTV1 I think so. I don’t know if there is a video of him talking about his experience in the nba, but I strongly suspect that his head got messed up. Like imagine just the talk about about how stupid it was to take him over Wade and Melo alone.
